I don't even understand All New All Different Marvel, it's the same stories b4 Secret Wars, where All New All Different Marvel was going someplace. (Ms. Marvel Khan was actually developing, and that comic isn't even aim'd at my age range) Then Secret Wars...

Stahp the presses!

8 months later

Ok Secret Wars almost over? ok continue w/ the previous stories, but tweak a thing here and there. It doesn't help that All New All Different Marvel is a dumb format. This is where they want "seasons" and to recycle a new "#1" every year.

Why? why do this, this is like graduating Middle School every 2 years and starting over in 7th grade! no one wants this, except they want to "bank" on the fabled "new readers!"

No it's going to be horrible and it is horrible, b/c it already puts an artificial STOP to character growth.

Random Comic book writer: "hmm, this series gets rebooted in 3 issues, we'll i can't make drastic changes or editorial is gonna hamm me up, so i'll just stay with safe stories"

I'm underwhelmed as well, but exactly what were you expecting? This is (616+1610)/2. It was always going to be tweaks and trimming, not whole new backstories for each and every character. If every character was going to be completely different as opposed to just a little different, then what would be the point of calling She-Hulk She-Hulk or Wolverine Wolverine? They needed to do some sort of universal reboot because the alternate universe crossovers and all of the time travel plots of the past few decades had turned the mainstream universe into a complete clusterfuck of loose ends and stray threads. In the meanwhile, you've still got to maintain some continuity and familiarity.

Yeesh. It's just a remodeling and you're complaining about the bathrooms still being in the same place.

That said, Marvel could have pulled it off better. I give them a B.

are you reading the Midnighter series? I hear a lot of good things about it.

It's so hard for me to like Midnighter w/o The Authority. Really i just loved how The Authority was the best brought together SuperHero team, ever. Plus i was so disappointed with this new authority after Wildstorm dissolved/merged, i just don't think i could taint just how great i once viewed The Authority.

Image is def where it's at. (so many to name, it's impossible)

Boom! with Uber and Kieron Gillen, it's a slow start but once you appreciate his world building, you get right in there.

I don't usually speak nice of Marvel, but my friend gave me some Fantastic Four by Hickman, needless to say really enjoyable, Reed's daughter is a great character

What's up Prod.

I know you're a DC guy but Hickmans Fantastic Four is his Magna Opus. I hope you read it all and the FF series that ties into the main series.

This, IMO, is one of the seminal pieces from Marvel comics.

I look at this in the same light I view Morrisons New X-Men. Absolutely amazing.

None of these *****s gonna agree with what I say though.

I'll agree with you.

His early 2000 stuff is what basically brought me back fully to comics.

House of M is what sold me, disassembled, than New Avengers, I was completely engulfed by the time Civil war came around.

I love Bendis but he gets the most hate out of any modern comic writer.

He's one of the best IMO. Definitely one of my all time favorites.

Everything he has done has been pretty awesome. His Ultimate verse, DareDevil, Alias, Avengers and his tie in issues from Secret Invasion is some of the best "forgotten" comics they've put out in years. I love Bendis and I folllow his books.

Hmmm. Glad someone agrees with me. I agree with you, that he doesn't get the love he deserves. People seem to forget, or weren't really around for it period, that in the early 2000's he pretty much ran the game.

They never needed to reboot because their continuity never went down the rabbit hole like DC's did. DC has been rebooting for the past twenty years because it's so profitable and now Marvel wants some of that action.

I probably will, I have some time to read comics for a while. Hickman tells a great story

Copra is the only on-going comic worth reading. That is until Prophet starts back up in January.

Bendis has been the best selling writer since the earlier parts of the 2000s.

Some time he slips but when he's on, his ideas are awesome.

Bah, I disagree.

God is Dead has been great, Uber is awesome, and Darkseid war is pretty neat. I am also enjoying the new Star Wars comics.

Anyone pick up the god damn from image? First issue was pretty good

Archie #4 - I'm not quite sold on Annie Wu's take on the art style established by Fiona Staples. Normally, I like Annie Wu. It's not bad, just doesn't have the same fun zing of what was originally established.

I don't understand why books can't hold onto artists for longer runs. Like Rat Queens and Archie.

Must one read Stormwatch beforehand in order to fully appreciate The Authority?
