Sorta makes sense... Wytches is an indie type deal and basically creator owned, Image takes a little off the top.

DC owns Batman and hires contractors to produce it. The contractors get a little off the top.

I thought artists like Greg Capullo would be making at least $200k a year because they're so well known in the industry. Doctors and RN's make more than him, which I didn't expect.

So old man logan story is in battle world.

I talk to the comic owner out here today. He did OML story was within battle world. You can see Dr doom in OML but he never talks showing he is the god. He said every domain has its own version of things. Just like bruce got killed but in one domain you have maestro

So I was right but wrong on the xmen thing because now he's in a new Domain with a new story line

I like it alot. One doesn't really show you anything and honestly you're still lost but everything is fucked up. Check out the last page of issue 4 to see what that meteor is doing to the world
 
Just picked up jla 41 for the Darkseid wars vs anti monitor

Also empty zone #1. very different.

Basically. Battleworld is all that remains of the Marvel Universe in its entirety across all planes, dimensions, and timelines. Secret Wars is Marvel's big reset button. They've taken the best of the best from stories past, and are formulating a new universe from it from which all things will emanate from going forward.

It will be interesting to see how OML makes it in the new Marvel Universe. Luckily, Death of Wolverine gives him an open pass as long as no other Wolverines survive the secret war. I think I'm gonna go read Death of and the OML's right now.

No, Old man Logan story happened before and when all timelines and universes crumbled at the end of New Avengers Time Runs Out, doom, molecule man and DR. Strange rebuilt Battleworld with pieces of those timelines.

So in essence the original old man Logan storyline didn't happen in Battleworld even though that domain is apart of battle world.


The reader still hasn't seen how doom and the others constructed Battleworld. And we still don't know if any Beyonders exist. This will come over time I'm thinking.

I read both issues and both are fantastic so I don't know what u mean by ruining this character. If anything he is staying true to the original material and incorporating it into this arc.

Plus the ending of issue 2 was awesome




Also DOCTOR STRANGE is getting the All-New All-Different treatment and his creative team will be helmed by Jason Aaron and Chris Bachalo

At least I know I'll be collecting 2 titles after SecretWars is finished. This and Bendis new Iron Man.

Yeah so far Rama I'll be collecting 3 titles after secret wars.

DR Strange, and Bendis Iron Man and Spider Man.

I'm excited to see what other titles will be in their new 60 title initiative.


And the world will see how this is done properly unlike the disaster that was the New 52. I'm still so disappointed with DC.

I can't commit belond Dr Strange but Bendis/Iron Man has me intrigued; I've never really been much of a IM fan, but...

Just read both issues of OML. Everything from the original storyline is still intact.

Here is the best way to describe what OML is going through from how I interpret it. He's like an ancient sailor who just found out his world isn't flat after all. Definitely going to be a good story, although I'm wishing McNiven was drawing this as well. I only like gritty Maleev style art in certain settings.

I wish Romita Jr. wasn't over at DC now. I'd love to see his take on a Battleworld story. I'm super stoked for a new Miles Morales run, and love Pichelli's art, but would honestly still prefer Marquez handling the art duties.

Might pick up #2 this week then. I wanted to like it and thought the premise was cool but didn't understand anything at the same time... As strange as it sounds. :confused:

By issue 4 your not certain what is going on except that this could be an ancient prison n they opened it. But it still goes in deep to where you're not sure what is real because it has them going crazy.

It's event horizon level of mind fuck
 
Future imperfect secret wars is starting out great. Loved the original.

Maestro playing old broken down Odin to gain entrance to the rebels was awesome. Then he just fucked them all up until he sees theRe boss. The thing. Boom

Did you see the maps I posted up earlier? The original Old Man Logan couldn't have taken place on Battleworld. In OML, Logan journeys across North America (itself larger than the Wasteland domain on Battleworld, which is where OML starts out on Battleworld) and passes through a separate kingdom run by the OML version of Doom on his way to his destination. On Battleworld, there is only one Doom and he is God.

Also, I wouldn't put too much stock in what the comic shop owner says. Comic book shops are where all the crazy/alternate fan theories start. Trust me, I used to work in one. :)
