My point is Millar's screen properties > Bendis' screen properties. Also, Stan Lee made some sucky things, but that doesn't mean he sucks. Just like Millar made Ultimate X-Men with the sucky Kubert, but that doesn't cancel out the Ultimates.

But I don't even like the Fantastic Four. The best version of the Fantastic Four is in a DC comic.

Millar has a great formula for making comics that can be adapted to film.
He got really good ideas. He doesn't have many original ones, and he's not a better writer than Bendis.

No one has original ideas. Let's not pretend Rising Stars and Top Ten didn't happen before Powers. Millar is the best!

Kick-ass is also better than Bendis.

Bendis run on Daredevil is better than anything Millar has done.

But Bendis run on Ultimate Spiderman is incredibly overrated. He went over the green goblin shit way too much, to the point where he was just rewording the same lame story. He also ruined the Goblins with his giant monster idea, it stunk. His ultimate daredevil was throw-away and shit. His Venom stuff was similarly poorly done and forgettable. His ultimate fantastic four/spiderman crossover was so bad it was offensive to me as a literate person.

He was just hitting his stride when they killed Peter, IMO. They were finally doing something fresh and new and interesting. Then they replaced him. Ultimate Spidey was ultimately a huge disappointment.

No. It was good tho. A surprisingly prolonged buildup for a relatively modest reveal. The buildup was great IMO, the reveal...meh.

I also took offense to how they've portrayed Sinister. They have strayed from his better qualities sine the end of Uncanny X-Vol. 1 and I'm not ashamed to say it bothers me.

I thought SW 2 was damn good issue, NOT GREAT (like how its been hyped on the web) but very good nonetheless. This issue lets you know a lot about Battlewrold (not everything) but still gives the reader a good idea about how its all set up.

Rama help me with this. Was it just me or did it not seem like at the end of New Avengers #33 (Time Runs Out final issue) that Doom, Dr. Strange and MM died at the end.

The ending was not completely ambiguous but by Dooms final reaction it seems like his plan blew up in is face and they ultimately lost. Or did they lose and Battleworld was the result? Or was Doom planning on Battleworld this entire time during New Avengers? Im still not sure what to think.



Now onto SW. I do like this concept for the people who say DOOM is Marvels greatest villain. This is his greatest triumph so far. He is in part GOD at this point in time.

Also I didn't mind Sinister at all. I just like the fact he was heavily featured in a major Marvel summer crossover. Hell this is a HUGE crossover and he got some good air time. I didn't mind his depiction either.

The Thors were badass and a cool concept but another question for u Rama, this I don't wanna spoil though so,

When the time displaced ship of Ultimate Reed, Thanos and his entire Dark Illuminati crew showed up how on Earth, how did they kill that Thor so easily. To me that looked like future Thor or All Father. So I don't see how throwing bladed weapons would kill someone with Thors power. And im assuming that he was important and powerful considering he seemed like the LEADER and all. Just seems like a Bitch way to go out for him.

I said in a thread that Millar has to be the most accomplished comic writer due to all his properties hes turned into cinema. Successful cinema at that.


I like both writers a lot. Millar and Bendis are what basically got me back into comics after a long long layoff from them. Along with Grant Morrison(my all time favorite) and Warren Ellis, these 4 writers got me hooked on comics again.

IMO these are the 4 most influential writers of the past 15-20 years.

So I don't make them compete, I just enjoy all the Fn awesome content they produced.

But in pure comic book sales, Bendis is the most successful monthly writer that's been around for 10 years. Sure Millar had CIVIL WAR and a lot of others, Bendis did it on a regular month to month basis. So in that particular dept. Bendis takes that honor.

This goes back to my comment before about made up characters. The cabal suck imo. Creating characters that can simply kill a Thor no problem stinks of zero-creativity. There is no reason to care about Thanos' lackies. Even this version of Thanos sucks. Since when is Thanos "one of the gang". You haven't gotten the sense that Big T has been running shot since his son's corny powers manifested. But SW is dedicating at least 25% of this story to them.


As for Doom. I didn't realize that was going to be the last issue at the time. I figured Doom would find away. So long as it's not any run of the mill superhero Doom >. I wonder if they'll let 616 defeat Ultimate Reed?
