Completely agree, it always came across like he was trying too hard. It's for that same reason that I don't find Will Ferrell or Steve Martin funny.

Steve Martin I am just apathetic toward. Will Farrell I liked for a while but he hasn't done anything funny in a while. Years, actually.

Another great female comedian is Kathleen Madigan; and I've been really liking Debbie Gutierrez lately.

I can understand why people don't like Dane Cook, and admittedly I've only seen one of his specials, but outside of his comedy being rather broad, he-YES I'M GOING TO SAY THIS-seems like a decent guy.

In fact, he appeared first to me as the rarely seen "cool douche". Have you ever met these guys in the wild? You can sense the slight douchiness, but in most other ways they tend to surprise you. Let me tell you Sherdog, cool douches, in my time, have humbled me.
