We have seen games where there is no point spread it is that ridiculous a match up, I do wish they'd stop this Ohio State vs RinkyDinky State thing, it sucks. I know big $$$ for the little guys, but still sucks.
Recruting.....is the key word in the college game and who doesn't want Mississippi and Mississippi State over Jackson State and Southern Mississippi?
As we know some schools do need student athletes like Notre Dame, Stanford, Vanderbilt, those Ivy League schools so they can't bring in everyone, while other schools.....fuck it.
Always a bit amazed at how Notre Dame stays competitive not being about to recruit just anyone.
Anyway....
12 teams is simply too many, we will never see a team seeded 6-12 play for that championship belt, not going to happen. Some committee picks the top 4 teams in the nation and there it is. The common sense way of doing this.
Ohio State would totally destroy a James Madison, and would be favored by what...28ish? So why even bother with that foolishness?
Sure, I love the games, hell about to watch BYU vs Texas Tech, but unlike the NFL where all it takes is a few turn overs to even it out, that isn;t the NCAA, BYU gets wacked today.
We have obvious different levels in the college game, some schools have no business vs others,
While here....
From 1901 to 1905 Michigan scored over 2000 points only giving up less than 50, they scored over 100 points about a half dozen times, had around 50 shutouts and only lost one game, a 2-0 loss in the last game of 1905, lost to Chcago. That has to be the greatest college team-s of all time.
Way back when there was The College All Star game, that was the NFL Champs vs an all star college team, would ya believe the college kids won NINE of those games?
