Cold Shower Challenge

Guess the ice bucket wasn't enough. I'll pass.
Wh n my dry skin is really acting up I have to take cold-maybe lukewarm showers. The glorious hot water is hell on dry skin.
 
Just take the polar bear plunge. Cut a hole in the ice and jump in.

They also use it as a qualifying event for Special Olympics.
 
Is this just a challenge to test your endurance and fortitude? Are there any real benefits to this?

Shouldn't have any issue doing this. My shitty student house always has a broken boiler, so I take freezing cold showers fairly often. In a house that is already freezing cold, it is pretty unpleasant.
Yeah - that is what I mainly got out of it. Just learning to be comfortable in an very uncomfortable situation.

like I said before I felt energized - maybe it was just a placebo.
 
Last winter I had a very bad cold and couldn't call out of work. I went into the shower at 6am and had no hot water so I took an ice cold shower. I was shivering as snots were dripping out of my nose.

Fuck cold showers and these gay ass social media challenges.
Not really a social media challenge - more of a Wim Hof personal challenge.

Since August or so I've finished all my showers with at least 5 minutes of all cold. It's -1 here today. Same thing.

I did it for a few weeks during summer months, but no way I am doing this in the smack of winter. It's -5 Celsius outside right now.


I had noticeably better skin when I did it.
It was still minus 20ish earlier today when I did it.

Placebo, or not, it's always a great feeling, to be energised and ready to face the day. I'll give this a whirl and see what I get from it.
 
It's freaking cold where I live and I didn't have hot water for 2 days. You know what I did? I refused to shower! Fuck off with this shit. Thank God the boiler is working again.
 
This is retarded. There is coffee and drugs for energy.
 
Too late, Im a cold exposure convert and I feel fucking great. So many benefits, look it up folks and start doing it. I suggest looking up the Wim Hof method. Theres tonnes of science behind it now too. Its averaging around 0 celcius here and my house is on well water so the showers Ive been getting have been delightful. Once you get used to it, hot water showers or baths dont feel right anymore.

It was his challenge thing and why i decided to give it a go again.
