I don't get that analogy at all.
Rockhold came in super cocky in the rematch against Bisping not only because it was short notice, but because he dominated Bisping in every way possible in the first fight. Totally took him apart in the stand up and then hit a one-arm guillotine on him while he was flexing for the cameras. Luke didn't think that Bisping could do anything to him under any circumstances.
Usman had to dig deep to get that stoppage. Don't think that he'd be dumb enough to take this lightly, especially not with a coach like Wittman.
But hey, it's MMA. Far crazier shit has happened.

Colby's not as dumb as his words indicate and he knows damn sure he'd be getting a lotta goodwill from both the organization and the fans if he takes this fight on short notice.
I wouldn't mind seeing Usman getting his ass handed to him either, one way or another.

look, I want to see usman fight at ufc 251, the others are overweight or too low in the rankings. Unless colby gets the money he's asked for, I dont see him travelling there to fight. So even though this makes no sense, the only fighter I can see taking this....and call me crazy....Cowboy

I would watch, it was a good fight. Colby doesn't have a chance, I think he is kidding because Usman doesn't have to accept and I think he won't.
Short notice for both, Colby has nothing to lose but Usman has, this is where it ends. Usman would be absolutely right in denying it. Just cheap marketing from Colby.
