When the talent pool is weak outside of a huge organization that has such a large roster it becomes easier to be the best at something that doesn’t include all of that talent. Now that he is in the organization with a larger talent pool he won’t look so good.

I am not a guy that remotely even likes Askren, but unfortunately it is true.

Beating Paul Daley makes you the best? Because Askren had his last 3 fights in 2017 and all Rory did was beat Daley and Mousasi had left the UFC at about that point too.

Debatably the best for Askren may have made more sense but at 18-0-1 I guess no one really knows how good Askren is (or isn't).
