I know women were not 'fighting', but they did act as nurses and other personnel in the Red Cross and with other Allies. I find it hard to believe that not even one woman died in Normandy as a consequence of the bombings and fighting, even if she was not fighting. And obviously the movie Dunkirk is not a documentary, but it did portray female nurses dying when some destroyers were bombed.
