Codys performance against Dom is arguably the biggest outlier in MMA history

He looked great in the 1st round against TJ too but I think he gets over confident and that's one of his biggest weaknesses imo

Once he gets tagged good, or wobbled, hes always thrown off his game and then goes into a slugfest which his chin can't handle

Michael Johnson beat Dustin, Tony, and won double gold in the 1996 Olympics.

Minus those two, he's literally a .500 level fighter.

He definitely had one really amazing performance that kinda made people think he was better than he maybe was. Kinda like when Holly Holm dismantled Ronda.

Also, I recommend rewatching Cruz vs Cody, because it's not actually as one-sided as most people seem to remember. Cody definitely deserved to win, and he had the biggest moments of the fight by far with his knockdowns, but all the flashy dance moves have made people remember that fight as though Cruz got outclassed from bell to bell, when that's simply not what happened. Outside of the couple of knockdowns, it was highly competitive, and Cruz arguably won 2 or even 3 rounds. The judges couldn't even decide on who won what rounds aside from 3 and 4 (which were both for Cody. But 1, 2, and 5 were very competitive, and the judges couldn't agree who won those.
