Cody has to move weight classes...no love for 145?

TJ, even though he’s a sneaky snake, will be champion at 135 for a long time. His fight IQ and power/speed are too much for that division. He also looks like he is interested in becoming champion at 125 and likely won’t have have much trouble achieving that.

So I guess Cody’s next best option is 145. It is likely he doesn’t have the chin for that division but he does have a lot of power and speed and he can’t do much at 135/125 anymore anyway.

How do you think Cody would do at 145?

He's 0-2 againts the champ and got repeatedly dropped. At 145 he'd get killed.

if cruz gets the next title shot and pulls off yet another win over tj, i can see cody getting an immediate title shot, since he already holds a win over cruz.

otherwise, i think a move to 125 would be right for cody.
 
TJ weighed in at 149. Age has something to do with it too.

Waaaay too small. He doesn't even weigh 145 walking about. Could be the new Lineker at flyweight though.

Cejudo is better than TJ. Cruz is better than TJ. Good luck with that!
 
Hell No are you dumb? If anything his future might be at 125. I really hope Cody tightens his game up, he needs to win his next fight.
 
Cody could gain some weight and muscle mass if he wanted to make 145. Would be interesting to see what the extra weight does.

Dom already beat him with two blown knees and no foot for half the fight off two yeas lay off. IT'S FACT.

As for Cejudo I'd say he should be clearly favored. Cejudo's striking has grown exponentially in the same way Dillashaw's has. For him to nearly match MM is a great feat. He's most likely going to be to fast for Dillashaw. He's certainly a much better wrestler who is going to throw Dillashaw on his head several times. I expect that to be the difference.

No way he moves up, too small. Best chance is to keep plugging away at 135 and hope Snake loses (in a Cruz rematch perhaps, just hypothetically speaking) or drop to 125. This is why I don't like immediate rematches unless they're clearly justified. You have a rematch and the guy gets beat again (or girl in Joanna's case) then what do you do with them? Tough spot to be in.
 
Cody needs to change camps. Despite the shit flinging, worked wonders for tj
