Media Cody Garbrandt suffering from long covid effects

Most of the masks people are wearing...let me make this easy...are like wearing shorts. You still are getting pee'd on. So why not just go naked?
Just sounds like you have an odd fetish. No shame though you do you fam.

The COVID deniers that have turned into COVID down players are killing us in the US. My cousin spent five days sleeping in hospital hallway due to all the beds being full from COVID cases, and when we tried to transfer him, the two nearest hospitals were at capacity as well. My brother spent the last few months of his life in a hospice that was on full shut down from visitors, limiting how many times my Dad could visit. Every health care employee at their two hospitals were exhausted, as it’s non stop. You can’t just refuse to take care of the sick when they flood in.

Its not just death that is a problem, in fact that would speed up the process. It’s the 10 days in the ICU that fill our hospitals up, effecting everyone else. Not to mention putting the employees at risk, who do not want to bring it home to their loved ones.

I hate shut downs, as it obviously will kill the economy. But as long as we continue like normal we will put tremendous pressure on our health care system. Keeping those “at risk” at home is a good start, but the virus will continue to spread and adapt through the rest of us.
What's wrong with your brother? How old was he?

I believe him about as much as I believe wrestling is real

I dont really get all the jokes about Garbrandt. Yeah he is an idiot to the max but if that is true he has very serious health complications and his career could be over.

Not really a reason to joke

It's always a joke until it happens to them

A vast majority of cases were not reported until recently. Theiir best estimate seems to be around 0.5%. Thus he missed it only by a small factor of 15.5X
Even with the obvious lag between a case and any eventual deaths, it's still, now, at about 2%, so, no. The "recently" that you posted a while back should have faded, and, actually, if there is a recently reported case, that would push the number DOWN, short-term, not up, because of the time lag between catching it and dying from it I referred to, previously. I'm not sure where you came up with that .5%. Can you share a link?

So, when asked for proof of your claims, you offer -

1) An article in a legitimate scientific publication that says NOTHING about covid lockdowns causing anything - it's a general paper on the importance of not allowing covid and the election cause us, policy-wise to forget about the opioid problems.

2) A story that ASKS the question, but states that (a) the latest data on suicides is from 2018, and (b) how difficult it will be to pinpoint that kind of effect, when data eventually becomes available. It doesn't actually make any claims. The linked CDC article does not claim that lockdown is causing more depression or suicides. Indeed, it generally accepts that people dying from covid is contributing to that.

3) A pre-print of a paper that has not been peer-reviewed yet, so meaningless, by someone who is an oceanographer - on not even a biologist, but a physical science oceanographer. So, not someone with ANY medical background, or expertise, at all, and definitely none in epidemiology or health analytics.

This is exactly the kind of garbage claims I was talking about, and you confirmed my accusation that you have nothing but nonsense.
