The show is in a weird spot where it ultimately ate itself and became what is was originally poking fun of but it's still so well written it's hard to stop watching.

Incredible to see Terry Silver back and so was Dennis. Snake gets mentioned as well but HOLY FUCK the ending was DARK!


By far the darkest ending in the whole storyline!

Overall not bad and I will keep watching this show no matter what. But this felt like a step down in writing. Sam is hilariously fat and (even more) recycled teen drama at the expense of more screen time for the grown ups.

• Sounds like Miyagi was Chong Li at the kumite before Frank Dux showed up lol
• Wouldn't say it's the darkest ending. Just like Kreese getting "stabbed" in prison or Miguel "falling to his death" after the HS brawl. Or even Hawk beating Brucks into the living death in practice. Kwon got stabbed with a real knife but they'll probably show him recovering later in a hospital bed and then a Sports Illustrated swimsuit magazine dangled over his head will have him back on his feet in no time. And even if he's really dead, he deserved it for being a bitch off the mat and then cheap shotting Robby while he was fighting Axel, instigating the brawl in the first place.
• LMFAO at Gunther Braun yelling "cut the feed!" only after Kwon appears to be dead. Up to that point he's OK showing the unscripted brawl including himself KTFOing the Russian coach.
• The brawl felt like a cop out. They already did this shit with the HS brawl and then the kids' rumble at the LaRusso's house.
• Mission accomplished on getting us interested to see the final 5 episodes but damn this show has run its course and they just need to wrap it up cleanly.

There's a season 6?!!!



It was kind of a fun novelty for a season with old references etc, then like 2 episodes into the 2nd season the novelty wore off and it just spun into some teen drama. Had no idea they kept it going for 4 more seasons.

Season 2 sucked and was probably my least favorite season.
But season 3 was gold. The Okinawa Episodes were probably the most fun nostalgia trips. Bringing back Chozen was what many were waiting for. Karate kid 2 was arguably just as good as Karate Kid so seeing those characters return and revisiting them was bomb. Also, Daniel learning a new Miyagi do move in japan from the Miyagi family teachings to beat Kreese in the season Finale echoed how each of the first 3 movies played out.

And shit, I nearly teared up when Tomiko read Miyagi's last letter from the hospital to Daniel
