Does your family have a cost of arms or a family crest? Post it here if you like.

I’m not posting mine because some dumb fuck here, who I destroyed in a thread long forgotten, will figure out my last name, which is pretty distinct, then use that information to figure out where I work, and try to get me in trouble.

But I figured this thread hadn’t been done before, so I gave it a shot.

I’ll pick the best ones, then put them in a new thread with a poll so people can vote.

Mine is like a Goat standing on a hill

Thanks. I much prefer the verbal description to the actual picture. I’ll make sure I include “Like, a goat standing on a hill,” in the poll.

BTW, if your coat of arms gets voted as the best in the poll, you win absolutely nothing. Just in case anyone was on the fence about entering.

I had a plaque(sp)/wall mount with it o n it but it somehow got lost....and when I try to research and find another, they are always different than the one that was handed down to me...

Really upsets me

The one I remember my dad having is different than the ones I find when I do a search. But all the basic elements are still there. I’ll search for yours the best I can.

Same. Pretty sure a lot of them are bullshit. Truth is most people didn't have a family crest.

Mine is like a skull and crossbones but instead of crossbones it’s 2 giant erect cocks.

It’s pretty rad.

No. Do you think nobility outnumbered commoners?

Is that how it works? Your family had to be nobles to have a coat of arms? What about a family crest? Isn’t that a little different, or is it basically the same thing?

mine is like a fighter jet being flown by a shark through a tornado at sunset over the ocean

Mine is a Stag with several crescents around it because my ancestors killed lots of Muslims.

You're asking to get backtraced fool.

When I was locked up some dude knocked me out and I woke up with a tat exactly like that. I'd like to think there's noble tradition behind that crest but tbh we probably all just got raped in prison

Crests were handed out by British royalty to those Irish that submitted to their rule.

The man who did so died in isolation in the 1600's. He was a uncle of the dead Prince who had claimed premogentiure. My ancestor was only a babe at the time and when he was of age he reclaimed his position and lead the family in defence against the English. We never submitted to English rule.
