I wouldn't say I'm rooting for punk but I'm definitely interested in this fight. Wouldnt be upset if punk wins but gall will probably ko him in the first. Mickey might be a can crusher, but punk might be a can.

If he wants to fight mma, why not fight while making a great deal of money? So he doesn't offend people like yourself? People getting all worked up about this are pathetic. Why in the fuck would he go and fight in some no name organization when he could fight in the UFC? For honor! Weaaaak.

Fine, then don't sell us honor stories. He is constantly doing that. Telling us its not about attention, he just wants to fight. No he doesn't, he wants money and attention.

If he said it is also about the money and attention I would be fine with it but selling that humble shit is irritating when you can see its complete bullshit.

He says mma was always his passion but I doubt he would quit wrestling and fight in a lower level organisation. It's funny how mma is all of a sudden a passion he has always had when mma started getting more popular than wrestling.

All I have ever heard him say is that he has wanted to try his hand in mma for the longest time. Lorenzo asked him if he ever thought about getting in the cage and he said hell yes I thought about it. So he basically was given the opportunity to try mma in the best possible arena, so he took it.

Maybe I have missed the interviews where he says he doesn't care about the money or fame part. But beyond that I think most people who were given the same opportunity he was given would not turn it down to go and fight in a smaller organization. I feel the people who would turn it down would do it out of fear of making a fool of themselves. If anything the dude has a serious set of balls.
 
He seems like an alright dude. That being said, I still want to see him completely humiliated in there.

And this is exactly it. I have no problem with anyone deciding to try a fight (as long as they train, they're healthy, ect), and encourage people to do so (mostly with amateur boxing), so why would I have a problem with him doing so? The only issue is that his first fight should be in a promotion that's equal to his status, but on the other hand, if he can bring the buys and the money, why would a major promotion NOT want him on the card?

Also, anyone who was EVER a fan of Pride should not be complaining about this.
