CM Punk First "Pro" UFC photoshoot

For me, it's not even the fat. It's his unbelievably skinny neck. Fedor could chokeslam him.

He didn't start MMA at 38 with no combat sport experience looking that fat either.

Fedor also has like 20 Sambo medals and a laundry list of other experience before and during his MMA career.

CM Punk just has gyno, a muffin top, and pro wrestling experience. He was a much better mic worker than a ring worker from what I've seen as well.

Cant really compare a fish bowl to an ocean.

CM Punk is a 7x world champion, 1x intercontinental champion and former tag team champion. That trumps any of that sambo shit.

CM's lack of experience will be a problem and it will hurt him. His physique will not be a factor.

And what the hell is everybody looking at? Muffin top? Guy is pretty lean, has some muscle, and looks in shape. Not everybody has a six pack.

Probably been alluded to somewhere in this thread already, but that was perhaps the most fitting use of the MJ laughter gif I've come across.


I was trying to remain open-minded and optimistic about Punk being given this pass into the UFC but after seeing these press shots, the realization of how incredibly poorly this guy will do in his new career path just sunk in.
 
What the fuck is going on with this guy? They aren't seriously going to let this guy in the cage.

He looks soft, he doesn't look competent in even holding his hands up for the photoshoot.

This is ridiculous. I'm surprised they released these photos.
 
Being such a specimen of an athlete, how could he not be a great MMA fighter with a whole 6 months of training?

Delusional.

He looks like half the average-bodied, heavy drinking, 30-something-yr.-old buddies I know who work in offices all day (that gave up doing any real intense physical activity years prior) when they're standing around with their shirts off grilling hot dogs.
