- I marked, bro's!

I don't think it was to do with an apology tbh. He doesn't like how WWE run things and the people high up there, but with AEW he does. He's had friends telling him over the past 2 years about how working at AEW doesn't feel like a job, and when he saw how AEW handled Brodie Lee's death he knew it was a good place. He was really only waiting for fans to come back.I bet CM Punk as expecting an apology that never came no one extended the olive branch, from what I remember CM Punk was a big deal he changed the game, and vince didnt like him breaking kayfabe and exposing the favoritism. Im shocked AEW has grown the way it has so quickly are they any good? Whats the other one TNA? Are they still around?
how bloated has Jericho got now,he often gets winded during his matches, his theme is over, but my god the way he stands over there and milks it. He should be a manager now,and AEW should just stop with the factions. thier whole roster is teams or factions at this point.Aew stinks
jericho is fat old and slow, they brought in that loser nick gage. that asshole with his hands in pockets sucks. They basically are doing ironic wrestling for the internet loser mark generation, Its not supposed to be this fake.
I havent watched wrestling in ages, what channel is AEW ill check it outI don't think it was to do with an apology tbh. If you're a fan of keeping kayfabe, a roster full of 6ft2 and taller roided up men, and wrestling be a 100% serious product, then AEW probably isn't for you. If you like everything in wrestling like lucha, hardcore matches, comedy, work rate, long term storytelling, and a few bigger guys mixed in then you'll probably like AEW.
TNA are still going, but they're just called Impact now. AEW's world champion actually had a story where he went over to Impact won their titles, won the title down in Mexico, and was calling himself the belt collector.
TNT if you're in America. It's on Wednesdays and FridaysI havent watched wrestling in ages, what channel is AEW ill check it out
Agree to disagree. No one ever said he was a great technical worker ever. He's a good story teller but he's not amazing in the ring. That's not to say he's not entertaining in the ring, he is.I agree with what you are saying but he actually was a great wrestler though. Had a 5 star match with John Cena in WWE and tons of other really good matches.
Against Samoa Joe he had the first 5 star match in America since 1997. (In 2004)
The beauty of the long term story-telling. They're literally having Hangman Page chase the title from Omega which has been 2 years in the making.I don't think it was to do with an apology tbh. Out of all the stuff AEW do, the supernatural stuff isn't one of them. Impact was probably the perfect place for Hardy to do the broken stuff and I don't think it'll ever be replicated. I'm happy Hardy gave us that hilarious build to Stadium Stampede though.Though, I still do wish to see Broken Hardy done right
I've argued with friends IRL about that. I still think the logical step is him in AEW leading the Dark Order. He can come in as a friend of Brodie, claim the Order has been lost sheeps following a cowboy around since Brodie died. Start a program with Page. This allows Page to stay out of the title picture while Omega and Cage do their program. Have Page lose one on ones via interference (bring in Redbeard?). Eventually have Page go over in a cage match, that gets him out of the storyline and then he can jump into the title picture.Out of all the stuff AEW do, the supernatural stuff isn't one of them. I think if Wyatt was gonna go anywhere he should go to Impact as well tbh
I do miss the WCW eraTNT if you're in America. It's on Wednesdays and Fridays
Problem is I don't think anybody in the Dark Order wants it, which is understandable imoI've argued with friends IRL about that. I still think the logical step is him in AEW leading the Dark Order. If AEW continues this momentum they've been building they might be competitive in the ratings with RAW in the future. They already beat one of WWEs shows off Wednesday nights because they destroyed them in the reasons, and it's clear AEW are the biggest thing outside of WWE since WCW.I do miss the WCW erathey were the only org that competed with wwe, then wwe bought them out.

You don't have to be a great worker to have a great wrestling match. You just have to tell a good story in the ring.
Lotta punks technique is very sloppy lol. In fact he's had that moniker of being a sloppy wrestler since ROH but like I said, moot point because he's a great story teller.
Nothing I'm saying here is controversial. Even on his WWE documentary, I forgot who's school he went to but even the guy said cm punk was sloppy. That's the first thing he noticed compared to the other guys.
I don't think he's a great technical wrestler. I don't think he's a great wrestler. I think he's a good wrestler and he was a great talker. Cena is not a great worker either. Cena workrate gets shitted on, but he was able to have elite matches with the best of them. You don't have to be a great worker to have great matches. You just have to be able to tell the story you want to tell. If Cena tried to wrestle like Kenny Omega, Cena would be exposed. Same for punk if he tried to wrestle like AJ styles. Or do anything remotely super athletic. He trained with Ace Steel and hes a little uncoordinated and unathletic I agree but he is a great technical wrestler who usually had great matches. He was not known for being sloppy in ROH. When he came to WWE and started using a lot of kicks and slaps and copied KENTAs moveset it got a little ugly. He was one of the best workers on the roster in ROH.. on a roster with Bryan Danielson, AJ Styles, Samoa Joe, Christopher Daniels etc. He ended up being a pretty great worker.
I agree he has never screamed bad ass so I agree with that but he was a great technical wrestler in a pro wrestling sense
Disagree. He was an average wrestler, but his promo skills and the story he wanted to tell in the ring sold in some sense. There's a reason he got a 20min promo and not some action. The mic is what sells for CM Punk.First off all, i never said i ever believed he could win a fight. I said the opposite. I'm simply saying he damaged his own image. I really don't care about him, but many people did. And he was a ver good pro wrestler.
for me it's more of a package deal, but I get your point.Disagree. He was an average wrestler, but his promo skills and the story he wanted to tell in the ring sold in some sense. There's a reason he got a 20min promo and not some action. The mic is what sells for CM Punk.
When you coupled that good wrestler, great promo skills, you can someone with a following like punk. That's enough to become a star, but I wouldn't say he was a great worker. That's just me, personally.
I don't think his image was hurt at all or much. I think AEW fans are smart fans that are in the know and able to separate prowrestling vs mma. Batista looked terrible in an MMA fight with a fat guy on the regional circuit. A match Batista won, but definitely didn't earn him any cool points lol.
I couldn't get into TNA or impact at all it was horrible product they had it in those tiny ass 300 seat venues after UFC fights on Spike it was just bad.If AEW continues this momentum they've been building they might be competitive in the ratings with RAW in the future. They already beat one of WWEs shows off Wednesday nights because they destroyed them in the reasons, and it's clear AEW are the biggest thing outside of WWE since WCW.
Yeah, the point is kinda moot, but that was not my original basis for my argument. My original basis was responding to a guy who said Punk ruined his image. I said, what Image? He was never a tough guy, hell he wasn't even a great wrestler. What makes you think he was going to turn into this tough dude in mma? I wanted him to succeed there, but I knew he wasn't the most athletic or the most technical. What we got is kinda what we expected. It was just wishful thinking to think otherwise.for me it's more of a package deal, but I get your point.
my line of thinking is, you can be a great technician but horrible with everything else, and you'll never be remembered as one of the greats.
on the other hand you can be a little sloppy and less technical but tell a great story in the ring, cut great promos, and you'll go down in history as a great "professional wrestler."
it's almost a semantics thing.
How long until he is jobbing to Jungle Boy and Marko Short....
Do yourself a favor, go watch the Broken Hardy stuff from TNA/Impact. Complete goldI couldn't get into TNA or impact at all it was horrible product they had it in those tiny ass 300 seat venues after UFC fights on Spike it was just bad.
But from the clips I seen of AEW it is worth checking out.
