Classless Robert Whittaker happy Darren Till needs surgery

He was terrified in there. He spent the entire fight running for his life and doing the bare minimum to score points. Till won the fight. Whittaker won the point scoring.

Funny how people are fine with Ariane Lipski fucking up that one girl's knee with a kneebar, but a sidekick to the knee is just sooooo wrong. :p
I used to argue that there's a huge difference between joint breaking subs and joint breaking strikes.
With a sub you have a chance to tap, with a strike you don't.

But yeah, not a great argument as some subs are quite fast, and some fighters will try to fight them until it's too late and they'll already receive damage before tapping.

He was having a laugh, hardly being a pos. Every fight has injuries and surgery is a common post fight thing to get.

To call him classless for having a giggle at a technique that worked on his opponent without him realising it ridiculous.

Other fighters had complained about those kicks for years now but nothing has been done by the commission

MMA is a brutal sport.

There's always the argument that you at least have a chance to tap to leg submissions but often by the time you feel pain specific ligaments have already been torn if not multiple.

That's because of the thousands that have been thrown less than 1% have resulted in serious damage.

Maybe instead of trying to push it away with his right hand he should have lifted the leg off the canvas instead.

Sure, it probably would have led to him falling on the ground but his knee would be fine.

Till wants them banned now huh?

Thompson complained about Till's use of it after their fight and Till responded.

“I saw the interview did,” Till told MTKGlobal in a recent interview of his own. “If he wants leg kicks banned, why don’t we ban spinning head-kicks to the face while we’re at it?

“I was not trying to hurt his knee. I was trying to deaden his leg to stop him using it. That was my strategy. I know he’s had surgery on his left knee and I was not trying to cause him another injury in that area but this is a fight and we’re in the most brutal sport in the world. In my opinion, you can’t really come out and say you want this thing banned or that thing banned.”

Pretty sure the reporter said after saying Till wants them banned.... "but I am pretty sure he was joking..." .....

That's expensive, time consuming and put fighters away from competition. Tearing ACLs, MCLs and so on should not
be a staple in the sport. Eventually the entire roster will have shut knees.

Should be banned IMO.

So many snowflakes love it, stay salty sherdog.

Some of these fighters are like fat chicks at comedy shows.

Everything is funny until the comic starts making overweight jokes.

If that's the case, then should knee bars and heel hooks be banned?
