My kids have a switch and ps4. What is the best doom I can get for these new systems?

Do you mean of the classic games? They released digital versions for PS4, Xbone and possibly switch as well in July for about $5. I have them on my PS4 and play them quite often.

My only complaint is that it only has local multiplayer, nothing online, and that in the two secret levels of Doom II they have edited out all the Nazis.

The console versions also come with the master levels (Doom 2) and the additional fourth episode for Doom 1.

Hey guys hey I don't think I ever made a thread in this section before

I don't really play games - er modern games. But I always been a fan of classic doom. This is a game I could play forever! When I took networking in high school we all just played doom all the time

Anyway I got some screen recording software and am attempting to beat all the levels with just a pistol start and 100% kills and secrets

I finished all four episodes of ULTIMATE DOOM and am now working on Doom 2

I just recorded this!



If anyone cares I'll keep updated if I manage to complete this

I recently completed another play through of Doom II last month. I noticed a significant increase in difficulty once I reached level I think level 27, Monster Condo. I can’t imagine that one on a pistol start at ultraviolence

Now making my way through TNT Evilution of Final Doom - I'm not as familiar as with Doom2 so will probably take me some time to complete all 32 levels - right off the hop level 2 is a bitch

So in a recent patch that came out about 3 weeks ago they finally put the the SS soldiers back in (“Mein lieben!”) but they’ve still edited out a lot of the Nazi imagery in the levels. All Swastikas have been replaced with —— triangles!

Oh, and they removed Hitler’s moustache!

So I finally upgraded my computer and now I have the specs to try this scary game out but I got stuck at map 18 with that freaking big ass demon that I can't kill but then I have found the solution provided by your detailed and master level expertise.

This is the part I'm talking about here:

Hey Clippy (or anyone else who's interested), here's a "late beta" version of the map I've been working on (DOOM 2, MAP01):

The layout has changed a bit since I made this post, especially in the southern half of the map. I'm referring to it as a "late beta" because while it's very close to completion, I'm still making all kinds of tweaks and doing a bunch of playtesting myself. I've only tested it with GZDoom, but it should be fine with any ZDoom-based source port.

If you play it, thank you in advance and I really hope you like it! It's been a hell of a struggle wrapping it up over these last few weeks.
