Mes pre'dictions pour Clash in Paris.
I'm not going to try and do the rest of this in French.
I don't see this as being a very groundbreaking PLE with tons of important stuff happening, but it should be a lot of fun with a hot crowd and some matches that should be pretty good. I'm still bitter about Stephanie Vaquer not being on the card.
Cena vs Paul - Cena's last time in Paris (unless they burn a date on Raw - which I doubt). I've read a lot of people don't like that Paul is getting a match on Cena's retirement tour, but these are also the same people who complain when the vets don't put over younger talent on the way out. You just can't win. I expect the crowd to be hot for this match with Logan heeling it up. IF the WWE wanted to turn some heads here they would have Paul go over, even if a dirty win. I don't see that happening.
Pick - Cena wins. Brock comes out after and destroys him.
Fatal 4-way for the World championship - So we have 3 faces and a heel in this match which goes against the norm. You'll have the usual spots of everyone ganging up on Seth only to start fighting among themselves, and that's the real story here. LA Knight doesn't really like anyone in this match, and Punk and Jey are "friends", but after last Monday are we starting to see a more heelish side from Jey? I think this could be the match of the night with some fun spots. I also expect Bron to get involved at some point, and maybe Roman and Bronson too. It'll be overbooked, but a fun ride.
Pick - Seth retains.
Women's IC match - Can Becky drag Nikki into a passible match? Ehhhh, maybe? Nikki was never a great worker, but she did improve enough to not totally suck like her sister. Becky meanwhile has lost a step but can still put on a decent match. After torching Nikki on the mic at their first confrontation, the build here has been pretty lack luster. I think this is nothing more than a make-up spot for Nikki since her match with Liv at Evolution was cancelled.
Pick - Becky retains.
Reigns vs Reed - I don't like this match happening here, or now. I think there is plenty more runway for the Shoelafalla gimmick Reed has been doing and I really don't want to see it halted here. I think this could end up being a really fun match - IF they just let them throw down and keep the outside stuff to a minimum. This could be setting up a future Roman vs Bron match, and I really hope that is the direction this is taking.
Pick - Reed wins with help from Bron and claims another pair of kicks for the Shoelafalla.
Sheamus vs Rusev - This is a filler match that really shouldn't be on this PLE. Unless they let these two just beat the holy hell outta each other, this is a waste of a spot that should have gone to anyone else - Drew vs Randy, AJ vs Dom, Stephanie vs anyone (Lyra would have been a good fit here), Giulia vs Michin, Priest vs Black, Fraxiom vs anyone (getting the artist formally known as A-Kid on this card would have been money)... so many better choices.
Pick - Don't care, maybe they give it to Rusev. In hindsight this was a really good match and I'm glad it made the card.
Tag team titles - This was only set up on Friday so there isn't a ton of specific build up to this match, but the Smackdown tag teams have all been going back and forth with each other for months so not much build up is needed. Street Profits are usually good for a banger of a match, and I like Lumis and Gacy (I don't think they have meshed very well so far though as a team). Expect Ford to do something insane, and for the rest of the Wyatt Suxxx to get involved. I smell a breakup of the Profits here.
Pick - Wyatt Suuuuuuucccccccccccckkkkkkkkkkkksssssssss retain.
