It’s not an excuse he’s just stating a fact. He was pretty unhappy with that decision and knows he lost. Third fight actually makes all the sense now while Jon and Tom hopefully settle their business.

He was only disappointed by his performance, he never said he was disappointed by the result.

He only said it was a close fight. He won a close fight with rd1 and 2 for him.

He already beat Volkov comfortably while healthy and still beat him in a close fight with a broken foot. Volkov has nothing for him, Gane is just better, hence why he has 2 victories against him.

Nope. He initially broke the toe(s) on a front kick to the body, probably hitting ribs with the tips of his toes. Then he fought for 14+ more minutes, undoubtedy doing more damage along the way.
