Circling The Arguments (SCO thread v. 32)

It's at least progress that you now admit that the entire basis of this investigation was founded a lie.

I was amazed at how gullible some people were on this forum to think that anything that came out of Steele's mouth needs to be considered absolute gospel truth.

The man is a spy. This may come as a shock to you, but spies lie. It's sort of the job description.

Anyone that was deceived by the Steele dossier needs to take a moment of self-examination, and wonder how they were so easily deceived.

There were three types of people that advocated for the Russian collusion conspiracy hoax:

1: The gullible and the easily deceived, those who truly believed that the President of the United States was somehow in some sort of collusion with the Russian government.

2: Those who's simply wanted it to be true, no matter what the evidence said. These were mostly dyed-in-the-wool, tribalist leftists.

3: (The most evil group) Those who knew there was likely no collusion, but pushed the Russian collusion conspiracy hoax for their own political Tribes gains.

Which one are you?

Except Barr's summary completely contradicts that.

“[T]he investigation did not establish that members of the Trump Campaign conspired or coordinated with the Russian government in its election interference activities.”1

This was a quote straight from the report.
Russian government is key to Barrs memo. He doesn't address oligarchs, Wikileaks, individuals with close ties to Putin, or individuals who claim to have ties to Putin (see the tower meeting)

2% certainly isn't significant. Lol, and that's only 2% of the 50% who even bothered to vote.

You'd only cite absolute numbers if you were making a dishonest argument.

This is very wrong. Might be that you're not really familiar enough with American politics, but 2% is very significant. Also, turnout was 61.4%, which is pretty high.

Now you want to protect sources and methods? When a “spy” had lunch conversations with members of the Trump campaign you were all for getting whatever records needed to figure out who and why.

You should probably check out GP’s twitter. The truth about Mifsud etc is slowly coming out.

Significant enough to justify the assertion that the country overwhelmingly wanted hillary?
How so?

'Pretty high' is great and all, but i wouldn't even say that the country was even overwhelmingly interested.

"Overwhelmingly" is too strong, but "insignificant" is not right either. Also, for the purposes of finding an answer to what the country wanted, non-voters' preferences should also be taken into account, and Clinton's edge there was even bigger.

Well, you said 50%, which was off by a very large margin. I think that the fact that more than 3/5ths of eligible voters took the time to get out and do it shows that the country was overwhelmingly interested.

Lol.
A lead as insignificant as the one she had in the popular vote hardly justifies the use of the qualifier 'overwhelmingly'.

Overwhelmingly was a play on words with the post I quoted, but hell yeah, almost 3,000,000 votes is a lot of votes. That is pretty much equal to the sum of the entire populations of Idaho and North and South Dakota and their 6 GOP senate seats put together that gives the GOP control of the senate.

Is anyone arguing that they dont want the whole report to be released? I'd love it if they did but realize that redactions are necessary and will happen.

"The problem is, no matter what the Radical Left Democrats get, no matter what we give them, it will never be enough. Just watch, they will Harass & Complain & Resist (the theme of their movement). So maybe we should just take our victory and say NO, we’ve got a Country to run!" Donald J. Trump 3/29/19

He just did it again on live television.

which is setting up his bases defense when they (Bill Barr) gives very little with a ton redacted.

'See I told you nothing would be enough.'

Let's see how many Republicans will want to know the details of the investigation before just lining up behind him. If they'd actually held him accountable for his actions these last two years we wouldn't be at this point.

Muellers team is working with Barr to get the document redacted so include them in the they.

There is literally no way to verify this outside of hearing it directly from Mueller. And nobody thinks Mueller is running this redaction show...it's Trump and his administration running it.

So this is the new conspiracy?

It was reported on MSNBC but I guess if we've gone into the don't believe the media territory then your right will never know without Mueller telling us.

Sorry let me clarify, anyone in this thread. Though Trump might be here, you never know.

Yes, it was reported by the media that Mueller was being consulted...reported to the media by the DOJ (IE, Bill Barr). I'm certain they are consulting him, it will make grand jury and ongoing investigation redactions easier. There are other things Barr said would be redacted and nobody thinks Mueller would be involved in making those decisions.
