Chuck Liddell in his prime VS. Jon Jones.

Chuck in his prime would easily lose against Jones. Chuck is a legend, but the "prime" talk about him is absolutely ridiculous.

Rampage managed to knock out a prime Chuck in Pride.... Jones via 2nd rd tko

Jones demolishes Chuck and then runs over his children whilst guzzling a cold one.

I don't think Chuck would have even been able to reach him. I think Glover showed us how Liddell would've approached the fight and it didn't go so well.

Jones looks small there

Jones is obviously the better fighter by a decent margin. A lot of the what if matchups with jones are for haters to imagine him getting beat up. It's true for a lot of these types of threads with greats.

You're a little late to the party this has been addressed 10 times already. The Rampage comparison is retarded because Jones didn't fight the same Rampage that Chuck lost too. Chuck fought a young in shape versatile Rampage, Jones fought unmotivated just wants a paycheck Rampage. Apples and Oranges

Likely Chuck. He was an animal in his prime, can't see Jones taking one of his bombs at all.

Undersized mediocre Vernon White took more then one bomb. Heck sadly(since Chuck is so great) Vernon rocked him for a second. Also many of Prime Chucks best wins were guys who were out of their prime. And he didn't even have half as deep or the most complete LHW division to compete agaisnt. But like I've said in the past with these delusional threads; the only thing that matters is if Chuck was in his prime when he was winning against not the best competition and 40 yr olds..

Jones completely dominates any version of Chuck, wouldn't be close.

nice

Walk through him but Glover went the full 5 and he is like a less talented chuck

And Machida got bodied in the second round even though he's a better striker with perhaps better TDD.

Who gives a fuck? They all lose just like Chuck would have.

Chuck walks through Jones punches and kicks and lands a right hand that drops Jones ends in TKO. Chuck is a horrible matchup for Jones. Anyone pretending otherwise is lying to themselves.

Because Jones has that glassjaw right? :)

No because Prime Chuck has some of the biggest power in the history of MMA.

Jones could hit Chuck 20 times and not t/KO him when he had an iron Jaw. Jon hits like a wimp for a man of his stature compared to most other LHWs, especially prime Chuck.

Chuck only would have to tag him once, could probably take a beating from Jones.

Think Overeem/Chuck. It would probably go something like that. Jones would start of winning the striking battle but Chuck would eventually land a power shot and finish him.

I can't believe people are denying its a bad matchup for Jones. People should go watch some old prime Liddell videos. Even before he became UFC champ.

Here you go. For our new fans out there.

You're asking others to watch chuck fights and then use overeem as a comparison point.

Jones hits like a wimp and destroyed shogun, dropped machida, has a one shot on his record, and has hurt most of his opponents standing and wrecked many on the ground. Chuck would be at a disadvantage everywhere and his hope is haymaker.

I think Jones picks him apart from the outside. He could get inside and try to wrestle, but that's much riskier. Chuck did hit like a ton of bricks.
