Ugh, Tom Holland and Zendaya? Keep these annoying new "it" kids out of Nolan's movies.

The Dune movies suck and she sucks in them. She's a terrible actress. Completely wooden and blank-faced, no emotionality whatsoever. I frankly don't "get" her, and I definitely don't want her ruining a Nolan movie.

When I saw the thread title, my first thought was "Another movie that Zendaya is going to ruin. "

Glad I'm not alone.

Obviously can't bet against Nolan but he's due for a dud and casting Holland and Zendaya is cause for concern.

The movies are great but she's arguably the most 1 dimensional actor going. She is just all moody angst.

Tom Holland is a great gay camp type of actor in the vein of Tim Curry but he can't bridge the gap to serious actor the way Curry could. When he's doing his thing, he' very fun to watch, but he's not a serious actor.

Couldn't disagree more.

She was Fremen and believed in Fremen, and detested Bene Gesserit propaganda. She loved Paul and he swore he wouldn't change. He betrayed everything he promised her.

She was every bit as committed to the Fremen as Stilgar, but in the film they made her less of a believer while Stilgar was a true zealot.

Keep in mind that Herbert was really disappointed in the fact most failed to realized Paul was a villain, so Villeneuve added a trusted voice of dissent. I think even Herbert underestimated the power of a charismatic leader.

Who amongst us wouldn't have followed this man? The film needed Chani to remind us it would be a mistaked.

Are there sill people who feel Timothée Chalamet couldn't play Paul?

Not sure what you're getting at, but beyond Dune...her characters are rinse and repeat. All scowling angst and with little range but that. Going from Nolans usual all star team casting to adding Holland and Her, gives me worry he's about to produce his first dud.

Although again, I'm never going to bet againt the man
