I was thinking about Nate Diaz and his "look at my line up" so I was curious to know which fighter had the most difficult opponents to deal with in their career and no doubt, Lytle popped in as the first choice. So I ended up checking to see who he has fought and here is few on top of my head:

Robbie Lawler
Joe Riggs
Karo Parisyan
Matt Hughes
Matt Serra
Nick Diaz
Dan Hardy
Thaigo Alves
Josh Koscheck
Pete Spratt

Now I am checking wikipidea:

Matt Brown, Shonie Carter, Lavern Clark, Dave Strasser and freaking Jason Delucia who was a Kung fu guy that fought in UFC 2 I think?

The thing that was always impressive is he's never been finished (besides cut stoppages). Considering who he's fought and his exciting style that's really impressive. 22 sub wins vs 0 sub losses has to be one of the best ratios of all time.

Lytle was 1 of the toughest guys ever in the sport. He used to go into fights with major injuries and still get FOTN bonuses.

Lytle was awesome, for sure. I think the term "legend" is overused and he doesn't qualify. He was as exciting as anyone, though.

hard not to like him. Jobber to the stars haha, always fun and kinda reminds me of cerrone a bit

Underappreciated fighter.

My fondest memory was when Dan Hardy went for the takedown because he was losing the striking battle, and got subbed.

The reason that's so great is because they both agreed to keep the fight standing before the fight started.

Miss watching that guy fight, they don't make them like that anymore. He always showed up to fight.

Great fighter. Most of his fights were memorable - that pair of stinkers with Serra being outliers.
