I want to say Farley because of Tommy Boy and his SNL skits, but Belushi was in Animal House AND Blues Brothers. That's legendary.

farley wanted to expand

he wanted to do more serious roles to show his acting

i still laugh at his YT clips and movies..i own all four

farley wouldve really blown up if he did the shrek movie as planned

he recorded some dialogue for it before dying

The funny thing about the Farley Shrek recordings is that he didn't do any kind of funny voice or anything - it was just done in his normal voice. Unlike how Meyers did Shrek in that imitation Irish or Scottish accent (not sure what it was supposed to be exactly).

I've never seen those words in that order

I think Spade is criminally underrated. Sandler and Farley get most of the love from that SNL cast but Spade always killed me with his Hollywood Minute, Joe Dirt/Joe Dirt 2 and his standup.

From that cast I love Norm the most followed by Spade.

There's a joe dirt 2?

Yeah I liked all of Farley's movies even Beverly Hills Ninja (He was so disappointed in that movie he thought it ruined his career) and Almost Heroes but Blues Brothers and Animal House are iconic. Can't ay the same thing for Farley's roles. I guess you could argue Tommy Boy is.

Tough call.
I think Chris got me laughing out loud more often.
Just thinking about him swinging from a harness over the stage, wildly gesticulating and emoting, fucking hysterical

Yeah I know I'm in the minority here, but what can I say? His comedy just doesn't appeal to me. Now you want a big fat dude that can actually act, you go with John Goodman. GOAT fat guy, tons of range and doesn't have to fall down or fall off of things to get laughs.

Yeah, Goodman is great.

Farley may not have been a great actor in films but then again he was just starting to build up to it, guys like Goodman and Candy were getting recognition later on in thier careers for their acting ability. Farley died young and never got the chance.

And the poll is about whos funnier, not whos more multi-facted or a better on screen actor. And Farley was definitely funnier than Goodman or Candy or Belushi for that matter.

Farley would still be funny even if he lost the weight just because he was such a brilliant physical comedian.

During skits with Farley, even his fellow professional comedians were unable to contain their fits of laughter, and its very hard to make these pros laugh when they're not supposed to break character. To me thats the true testament of his comic genius

They both seem like poor attempts at John Candy to me.

CF by submission. Only a GOAT could do this...

Farley wins because this still makes me almost piss myself laughing.

Plus I grew up with Chris, too young to know much about Belushi aside from the hits.
