Sherdog is the mecca for double standards. If they like a fighter they'll make a thousand excuses for them which they wouldn't make for anyone else. Oliveira is exhibit A.
I don't even think Jack embarrassed him, Chris embarrassed himself. Jack's performance was kind of crap if you ask me, don't really think the guy is an elite fighter. He has a killer top game but his wrestling is pretty flat and his kickboxing is meh.
Semantics, but Chris was embarrassed by the loss and he took it out on Jack. Don’t think jacks a great fighter either.
Jack did good considering his standup has always suck and he punched chris enough times in the face to stop anything useful from happening.

It wasn't terrible but I expected more from him all things considered. I like this guy and want to believe he can be a title contender because he's such a compelling finisher on the mat but he didn't show me anything that would make me think he would fare well against the elite. He could pull off this gameplan against Curtis but could he against the better fighters at MW with full camps? Guys like Strickland, Vettori, and Cannonier who figured him out before?
