You never heard of people lurking a forum before signing up as a member? This a foreign concept to you?

Yes even the Chinese Americans dont like them and consider them rude.EVERYONE who's a traveler or works in the tourism industry hates Chinese tourists. And with good reason. This includes people who are against racism and stereotyping and all that. But it is what it is.
yes its true, the Ikea in my area will often times have Chinese tourists they eat the breakfast there and they like looking around, always loud too. I wonder why though they don't learn etiquette.Lol. Seriously? No clue why I find this entertaining, but I do.
yup, This guy on TV bought an abandoned Hotel in southern California he paid cheap for it like under a million he put in for loan got approved and he fixed it up its like 350 rooms, but he filled it up with Chinese tourists and made a deal with the native american Casino buses and tourism buses and made bank that way, he said the government gives them money to travel. they go to warehouse stores, outlet stores, buffets, etc. From what I understand, most of these awful Chinese tourists come from dirt farmer backgrounds where they recently got cash from their government under eminent domain type of programs. A lot of the tours are very cheap and the guides get kickbacks to bring them to buffets and various tourists traps, many of which are set up just for them to try to get more cash out of them.
Right. I understand completely. I was getting to a somewhat separate point, though. I watched a documentary about the social credit score. There was one guy whose score became too low to travel because he got screwed by a business partner who screwed him and the government, so the other guy got punished too. So this guy went around doing good deeds all the time like donating to charities and finally he was able to get his score back up enough to travel again (which he said made him feel like a whole person again). So my point is that these antisocial travelers are actually among the most socially conscious people in China, which is a scary thought. Not so crazy considering tons of them grew up when China was still piss poor. Pretty much the entire middle class did not exist 30 years ago before the rise of Chinese manufacturing. Cultural change require generations to pass.
I probably already replied to this thread a long time ago, but I still concur that tourist from mainland China are the worse. My wife and I travel a lot and it has gotten progressively worse over the past decade...well at least pre-corona. Japanese tourist on the otherhand are the total opposite.

Americans always had top spot in the Ugly Tourist category..
The social credit system doesn't mean jack. It's just a measure for the government to exert more control to its people. As an example, there is a MMA fighter who made a name for himself by exposing fake martial art teacher who claim to have supernatural powers. He is doing the public a favour by exposing essentially scams, but the government deemed him a shit disturber and lower his credit score so much that he isn't allowed to travel by flight in China among other inconveniences.
So I would take those score with a grain of salt.
