I never understood how the West considers Putin's Russia as a serious threat but enables China. In many ways China is far more dangerous than Russia. Russian economy is shite. Their population is significantly smaller. Their exports amounts to fossil fuels and weapons. China is more diversified, has better infrastrucure, far richer and produces more food. Lately I am seeing Neocons writing a lot of critical articles on China.

Its insane and doesnt make sense to me. Especially considering Russia is a lot more open and doesnt see a certain group as a threat. And isnt hostile to Israel. Neocons support Israel but hate Russia. Yet Israel itself is expected to sign a trade deal with Russia next year in Eurasian Union and is doing more and more business with Russia and millions of Israelis speak Russian and maintain ties with it and other Ex soviet states.

China on the other hand is a closed off giant civilization extreme rascist ethnostate that can only be mirroed by Nazi germany or Arab countries. Oh I dont discount racism in Russia or Israell or europe etc or latin america etc but its not as extreme and is more fluid. Its akin to being anti negroid and anti Muslim. And in Russia ethnic minorities play key roles in government and have their own autonomous areas.
China has no such thing or tolerance and doesnt see Israel as even close to a friend or partner. Han supremacy is all it cares for. Neocons should know that

They didn't even know what it was and how it was being transmitted until 1983. Chinese officials knew there was human to human transmission in December. They only informed the WHO that the virus may be transmitting from person to person on Jan 20th. Chinese officials locked down Wuhan but allowed Chinese flights out of the country.

The lack of acknowledgement and information was probably far more devastating than being insanely slow to allocate funding towards research and treatment. It's true: people didn't know what the hell was going on and there's an acute infection period during the first 12 weeks of contracting it where the risk of transmission increases 25-fold above the norm and can spread like wildfire.

It's not just a matter of gays being reckless, promiscuous and deserving to die. We know that's at least true of the former because over 50% of Americans presently living with HIV are aged 50 or older. They didn't legalize it, but it was dropped from felony to misdemeanor and that's honestly bad enough. A lot of HIV+ activists were even opposed to it, but there aren't many of them not taking antiretrovirals.
