The documents - from Hubei province, the site of the world's first known outbreak - show China announced misleading numbers of new cases and deaths, was hampered by an average three-week delay in diagnosing new cases, and experienced a huge spike in influenza in the epicenter province in early December.

There’s a big panic here when a new number of people test positive. But only symptomatic people go for tests.
How many people get tested for the flu?
How many get the flu virus with no symptoms? No idea because they don’t get tested.

Even if you have a cold or flu, it’s treated like covid. Runny nose? Covid. Cough? Covid. Sore throat? Covid. Quarantine 10 days and tick it off as covid on the chart.

I meant that China is constantly lying and not giving out any data. Even this piece from CNN is hardly damning, its mostly about lack of resources and bureaucracy. But I think it goes much further than that

It was already documented that China hid the truth from the world for 6 days. They KNEW what they were dealing with, and just sat on it. Six days doesn't seem like much, but at the START of a pandemic, that is an ETERNITY. Those six days are likely responsible for hundreds of thousands of deaths and trillions of dollars in wealth lost. Had they acted immediately and fully locked down the few small areas that they saw problems in, good chance it would have been mostly contained. Nobody knows for sure, but these aren't huge leaps in logic.

Why is it Trumpers want to argue about how China initially handled it but now how they are handling it currently? It is like all of Trump's blocked flights non-sense.
