International China battles rare wave of violent crime as economic woes bite

Yeah, China had that brewing for decades.

I'm afraid this is going to be the trend globally.

This is not true, I'm in China and there is no such public violence reporting
Clarify this for us, which is it?
"There's no violence" or "there's no violence reporting".

Depends on what kind of crime we're talking about, but as a general rule that is correct. China is also a homogenous country. If you subtract crimes committed by minorities in the USA, our crime rates would actually fare better when compared to other countries.

For example, Whites (according to the FBI) were arrested for 8,842 murders in the USA in 2023, which equals out to 2.66 persons per 100,000 people. In Japan that number is 3.41 persons per 100,00 people. It's only when we factor in blacks and latinos (who are vastly overrepresented in murder and nearly every other crime statistic) that the USA suddenly vaults past developed nations with 5.19 persons per 100,000 people.

It's amusing when the Left constantly bags on America for its crime statistics on one hand, then on the other constantly orgasms about how wonderful diversity is, and how America should allow in an unlimited amount of poor, uneducated minorities. And the real kicker is when they want to point out countries superior to America, they nearly always point to the Whitest, most homogenized countries on earth (the Nordic countries) as an example of how to do things right.
So true!! And the true few can face it and not hiding it. The same we could be about almost every other metric like economic poverty and so on.

Education is one of those other metrics. The same people whining about America's crime statistics are the same ones whining about our test scores and how America is so far behind developed countries. Again, minus out blacks and latinos underperforming academically, and you'll find once again the US on par with or surpassing all the countries it currently lags behind. But rather than focus on actual issues (single parent households that don't value education enough), all you hear about is how standardized testing is racist.

Social mobility is another one. The US is dragged down on that metric because of the extreme generational welfare in certain communities. Minus those out and you get a much better picture of social mobility in the USA.

Those FBI STATS are wrong because they don’t separate White and Hispanic
It’s a LOT. Lower than that

Royal Hong Kong Police Force

Not China

Remember when that retard chinese spokesman Zhao Lijian claimed the murder rate in the US was 7.8 % because he is too dumb for math as his source said 7.8 homicides per 100,000 people? That was funny.

I have no idea who that individual is but boy do I love myself some Engrish... "gun explosion danger". lol

Nah, the collapse of any major nation state with hundreds of millions of people would be pretty bad for everyone.
They don't need to collapse they just need to be permanently weakened for fucking the entire planet a few years ago.

They're permanently weakening just fine on their own. Their demographics issues are some of the worst in any developed nation. They really fucked themselves up with the one child policy.

They've had 6 quarters of deflation while the rest of the world is trying to manage inflation. Their economy is also shrinking just from their own bad policy.

Getting what they deserve for many reasons. The one child policy was not only stupid but incredibly cruel.

I mean, at the time their population (and economy) was growing out of control, especially initially in the 1980s, and their people were starving to death in some regions. They were unable to develop their economic infrastructure fast enough to support their natural population growth because even in the 1980s it was nearing a billion.

The real problem with it is they took to long to stop the practice and now it's hurting them.

Forced abortions were not the way.
