Chimaev v Usman - let's talk about it

Rewatching this fight... I'm surprised Chimaev got the decision.

Obviously he won the first round, the second he did shit all but feint and you gotta edge it to Usman for strikes, then the third he was getting fkn lit up like a Christmas tree. Okay he got a takedown at the end, but how does that supercede 3 minutes of getting bopped up? Fighting is not laying on someone.

first round was a rape and if they replay that 10 times he probably wins the majority

Everyone wants to say how Khamzat lost, but don't want to get into details why Usman did so much better. Usman didn't do much in any round except defend.

Khamzat has over 7 minutes of controlling Usman in a 3 round fight. Besides that did it with a fractured arm and you'd be nuts to bet on Usman in a rematch.

They started awarding rounds to the person who caused the most damage in the round back around 2018. Lay and Pray will only give you the round if there is NO damage from striking, NO sub attempts or other types of damage.
Someone should really tell the Judges

Majority Decision and a younger version of Usman probably beats his a**

It was a close fight. Nothing to be ashamed of in having a close fight with an ATG who, as proven by the Buckley fight, is still very effective. It says more about how good Usman was/is than being a criticism of Khamzat.
