My opinion is Sean Strickland is a subpar martial artist and the only reason he’s on people’s radar is because he beat Izzy for the belt.

He has a few notable wins but I do not think he’s that skillful and talented.

UFC is weak with a lack of depth.

Rooting for people based on race is far less common than rooting for fighters based on nationality so you can cut that out because plenty of people find it unacceptable to root based on race. Sean is unequivocally one of the best middleweights. He's extremely difficult to hurt and almost impossible to hold down. I find his persona both annoying and toxic, but he's still a top fighter IMO.

What? Dudes only been knocked out like twice in over 30 fight and once was by Pereira. You're crazy

All against big names. Two of those losses were split decisions that I personally thought he won. Some folks love to come down on him because he's kinda of a oddball or critique his fighting style. But the the dude can fight and I like the way he can pick people apart with constant offense while possessing really good defense while standing right in the pocket.

He can stop takedowns very well, if he can do that to Fluffy... He has a good chance to win the fight. Both guys have great gas tanks too. Should be a good fight.

He reminds me of BHop in his ability to stymie otherwise dynamic fighters and force them to fight at his generally mild pace. Hernandez breaks opponents with pace, pressure and volume but I’m not sure if he’ll be able to dictate the beat with Strickland. That’s not to say that he can’t still win fighting on Sean’s terms, but it might not look dominant or particularly impressive. Excluding Pereira, no one has looked particularly good against Strickland even in victory.
