I don't know why there are so many people, on both the right and left, who are supporting either Trump or Bernie as a form of revolutionary protest. I can't tell you how many people I've spoken to who have claimed that we need to scrap the government completely and start over. There's this widespread sense that our government is utterly useless and corrupt and needs to be replaced.

But I'm here to tell those who feel this way that they need to chill out. There won't be a revolution and despite the fact that our government seems to be bought and simply exists as a tool for the richest pto look after their interests, we will continue to allow this to happen, we will continue to take it with no Vaseline.

The America we live in is too well established and too organized for there to be a 1776-style revolution. There are to many people who have family, homes, jobs, and other toys that they worship. Despite all of the moaning and groaning, deep down inside people are actually very comfortable. A revolution will remove that comfort and replace it with uncertainty. And very few people have the courage to put themselves through that.

So just accept things the way they are. This is America, it will be like this from now until forever. The rich are to strong to be moved. And the middle class is to comfortable to do anything but talk. And the poor are to poor to do anything worth doing.

So stop talking about a Revolution. You guys like it the way it is now. And the sooner you admit that, the sooner we can stop trying to live our revolutionary fantasies by voting by millions for hacks like Donald Trump and Bernie Sanders.

Cool story bro!!!

Right, there's plenty of people that talk about revolutions. But it should concern people in the unlikely event that there is a revolution, because it'll most certainly be aimless. Those are the nectar of tyrants.

Revolt, playas.
Everything is looming and you keep hanging on.

You know what happens in Canada when it's discovered that a politician has taken money from a corporation? They end up in court. I'm not joking, they investigate the fuck out of it. There's units whose only job is to poke around and sniff out corruption. Turns out when you go looking, you find a lot of shit.

In the US you're not even trying to find the corruption, you've legalized corruption. You're not looking for the shit because the shit has coated everything, the walls and floors are made out of shit.

"Calm down everyone, this our life now. Accept the shit in your heart."

Obviously we can't have anything like the American Revolution, because we were establishing sovereignty. People here will get restless according to their needs. We don't have a political culture here that will overthrow its government while the people are mostly comfortable. Our quality of life is arguably flattening but our standard of living isn't. Any real revolution today would be tied to poverty, hunger, shelter etc. and there just isn't a chance of that in the foreseeable future.

Only moron communists/Occupiers/BLM thugs talk about revolution. Intelligent people talk about reform. Reform is perpetually necessary. A vote for Trump is a vote for reform.

You hope but you can't be sure .

The sheer fact of him being elected over a field of career politicians would be a pretty powerful initial message about how seriously fed up the American people are with the way their government is functioning.

Trump can't even spell "perpetually." Though he does talk a lot about regression, which is pretty close to reform in the dictionary. Close enough for Trump work.

Trump's an Ivy League graduate and a billionaire. The size of his vocabulary is just fine. He guarantees there's no problem. He guarantees.

One of his few policies that we actually know anything about is giving the wealthy a big tax cut , is this something the " people " are clamoring for , and what ill will it solve ?

A lot of Americans don't want to punish people for being successful.

He has a very powerful message that the US shouldn't be allowing thousands of people a week into the country without documentation. Many people see the fact that this keeps happening as suspicious at worst and incompetence at best. Is the US a country with real borders are not? Isn't it common sense that you want to know what type of people are entering your country? How com the guy that killed Kate Steinly (sp?) had a rap sheet a mile long but was here anyway? What the hell's up with sanctuary cities? The common man sees guys like Ted Cruz or Hillary Clinton as the types that argue about how many angels dance on the head of a pin, whereas Trump cuts through the bullshit and talks common sense.

His rhetoric with regards to foreign policy resonates with a lot of people, too, as being a pragmatic mix of maintaining American power while avoiding falling into the established ally-enemy dichotomy we've had for a while now.

There's more but that's a start. He's radically different than pretty much anyone in a position of great power in the government and the hope is that will effect some sort of change between the elected and the voters, I suppose. Electing someone like Hillary is certainly seen a vote for the status quo, whereas Trump at least offers the possibility of fixing things.

If Bernie and Hillar-ious become VP/Prez combo, can they trump Trump, I wonder.

Trump has more detailed policies and positions than just about anyone

It's astonishing that a graduate of Wharton doesn't know why we have trade deficits, why they aren't "losing" and that he thinks protectionism is the answer to a problem (which doesn't really exist).

An impressive vocabulary isn't one of his attributes from what i can see.
