Media Chiesa says Justin Gaethje is the most deserving of LW title shot

The veteran UFC fighter and analyst Michael Chiesa comes out in support of Gaethje getting a LW title shot, saying that he deserves it the most.

After Ilia Topuria's success many fighters have shown desire to fight the ‘El Matador’, however, UFC personality Chiesa believes Gaethje should be the contender with a title shot.

“He took a huge chance when he fought Max. Whether they promised him something or not, I don’t know that. Nobody knows the truth except for Justin. But you know what? Just give the guy the fight.
He earned it by fighting Max. He has earned it in blood,” Chiesa states.

“He has earned it just through his efforts, through all he has given us and left us. He has given us things he will never get back, through the course of him having this goal of entertaining us fans.”

Chiesa added that it is a win-win scenario also because the Paddy Pimblett and Arman Tsarukyan fight still will be there, as these guys are young but Gaethje does not have that aspect on his side.

“So just give him the fight now. It’s a win-win scenario. The Paddy fight’s always going to be there because those guys have youth on their side. For Arman, unfortunately he’s got to win one more."

Nobody deserves a title shot, the 3 most worthy were at a standoff with no one wanting to fight for one more besides Paddy, so he was my pick and the only one not given a title shot or two before. However Arman after Hooker deserves another chance.

Always was. If Justin losing a BMF fight in the lightweight division shouldn't set him back in the lightweight division, then Max losing the title fight at featherweight shouldn't set him back in the lightweight division.
