I ve only worked myself for a time into chess and the creative ability of Magnus is just breathtaking. Not like 99% of the other players depending on prelearned routines of play. He really surpasses every other player by a mile being able to start with a completely shit position and develop stuff a computer wouldnt predict. As a chess fan we really should be very grateful for watching Magnus play.

Carlsen might be the greatest chess player to ever grace this sport. He dominated in a way I didnt think possible. He surpasses Kasparov who himself was a genius chess player. He ruled for 10 years and gave the title up out of boredom and the dumb politics of FIDE.

If there is someone who can be "arrogant" its Magnus. Right now he is not putting his effort into chess full time. I am pretty sure that Magnus at full effort would get back to the top with ease.

Or maybe age is catching up to Magnus?
