The cherry blossom season is here! The first ones are out early here in northern England! [Edit: I still don't know what tree or trees it is, but there is at least one tree whose blossoms look almost identical to cherry blossoms, but bloom a few weeks earlier. These blossoms only last for a short time. In retrospect, in late March it would have been that or those trees.] They are also well out in most of Japan, and Washington DC:

They are not out yet in Toronto:

Are there any cherry trees near you?

They are pretty neat in the the DC area right now. It's so crowded though that I recommend going early in the morning on a week day if you are going to go see them around the tidal basin.

Lol , just collected the wife from work and parked out on the street rather than our driveway and stopped under the cherry tree that's there and was thinking it should be out soon...

Isn't that pic plum blossoms? Anyway we will be in Seoul in a 10 days. Bloom started earlier then expected so we may hit the tail of the peak the first few days.

We don't have any epic cherry blossom blooms near us, but there are many almond tree farms with epic blooms every year. We'll take family photos at a semi-secret spot every year. Here's a pic of a friend that helped us click the shutter for us. Thanks Shad!

No, they are cherry blossoms. If you're referring to the colour, the only cherry blossoms I have seen in the UK are that colour but some (in other countries) are other shades and colours. The ones in DC and Japan are often a little paler for instance.

Beeeeeautiful. Thanks for sharing. Gonna check them out at a Japanese botanical gardens about an hour drive away.

I didn't take that picture, although it was taken not far from me, in Harrogate, and it wasn't taken this year. I have been there during full bloom though as depicted and the trees are splendid. They're not in full bloom yet here, they are just coming into bloom.

Tokyo today:

Are these the ones that have actual fruit? Because those trees suck and make a huge mess.

I like the ones that look similar but don't actually produce fruit

I was taking pics of some at a couple parks here in Tokyo the past couple days.

Have a friend in Kyoto, currently on holiday.
She sends me some pics of sites & what not.
Blossoms sure are purdy.

What you just said is nonsense.

Every American knows eagles are a unit of speed and and cheeseburgers are a unit of weight.
his math also didn't account for amount of pattys bacon and whether it was a smash burger
