Chef Gordon Ramsay

I think he hams it up a bit for the cameras. He’s donated money to help cancer patients and what not in the past. I’d say in general he’s probably an ok guy. He’s built the image of being an asshole and it’s made him rich. A lot like Simon Cowell.

Man I miss the early 2000’s with Cooks Tour and the original UK version of kitchen Nightmares.

I bought two GR books but have yet to read them, I couldn't take my nose out of MPW's it was that engaging. I've got maybe a dozen of GR's cook books though, they're excellent. I don't know if you watch Masterchef Australia, but I look forward to Marco week when he's on it.
I'm not doing GR a disservice, he's still fantastic.

Gordon is an incredible chef, its just Marco is elite, GOAT level even. And yes I've seen Masterchef Australia. I want to eat this dessert so bad.

I have an idea for a bedroom nightmares series where comes over to couples houses and yells at them for fucking wrong then shows them how to do it with lots of salt and cream fraiche.
Oh come on you donut
No here let me show you
Alright we hold the leg this this ,ya. Then thrust from the hip like this ya.
Okay you have thought about him ravaging more than him ravaging me in his herb greenhouse in my dream :D

I love him, but on the pass when they do the service challenge I would want to clock him round the head with a pan.

Ramsay has a cooking series on Masterclass, he really is different there you can notice, just in a positive learning space talking about what he thinks is great. He had a great recipe/method for Potet puree that I've started using.

It’s all a act with him I think and only a fool would spend money in one of his places after he got caught using frozen microwave meals.

Having said that in my security days I worked at a few places that had restaurants and the chefs were alway quick to flip the fuck out. Many times we had to go calm down a situation in one of the restaurants involving a chef. Had one michelin star chef threaten one of the girls there with a knife!! They then rehired him after a few months.

He comes to all the big boxing matches in Vegas. In my job, I really can't go up to him, but he is one of the few (along with Shaq), that I would go up to and get a pic with if I could. But all the people I know who have been around him say he is friendly

What do you mean? Several of his pubs and restaurants have been exposed for re heating pre prepared meals in the past. Here is a example

https://amp.theguardian.com/lifeandstyle/2009/apr/18/gordon-ramsay-preprepared-meals-offsite-kitchen
when you say they used frozen, microwaved meals makes it sound like he is going down to the grocery store and buying some microwave frozen dinners and then selling them. They were not frozen, they were refrigerated. And he (or more correctly his staff) prepared them and sent them out. That is a huge difference, even if it is not ideal. It was still his self made product

Have you seen Boiling Point, the Gordon Ramsay documentary from 1999?

This was when he was a star chef in London and notorious in the food world, but not yet an international TV personality.

Spoiler: He is not a nice guy. He is an utterly driven boss and brutal with anyone he considers underperforming. His goal is to achieve Michelin stars and woe to those who he considers to be keeping him from that goal.

The person you see on Hell's Kitchen is an amped-up caricature, but it is based on how Gordon really worked.

All that said: Boiling Point was more than 20 years ago, and Gordon has changed A LOT. Having a family and massive global success will do that to a man.

Have you seen the movie? I thought it was pretty entertaining
