Cheerleader asks autistic boy to prom.

i think about 90% of these videos are made to be viral videos and nothing more. $20 says she doesn't even go with him and pulls a Mean Girls type move and tells him the day before "Do you actually think I would go to the prom with YOU?" and then she goes with a football player

Thats my primary issue with social media these days. That's why I've deleted my Facebook/IG accounts. It's all so fake. So many people live their whole lives just so they can comment about it on social media, or somehow use it as a tool to create a larger online following. It's so pointless, yet people spend so much time doing it.

I feel this chick is probably good at heart, but just like almost everyone else in her generation - she probably did it with social media in mind. Or at the very least a friend of hers did. But whatever, if a portion of her intentions were genuine and it made this dudes day - I guess it's not so bad. There's bigger issues to bitch about.

If it makes dude feel good I'm all for it.

...even if she winds up hanging the QB later that night, at least he has a high point in his life at this time.

When he gets older and realizes HS means fuck all in the real world...well let him enjoy youthful bliss.

This is all cruel when it comes down to it (pun intended). People should and do have sex with each other at least in part because of sexual attraction. It is crazy to think this hot babe is attracted to this autistic boy. It just is not reality. This kid should be trying to get a girl in his league and have a real relationship vs this "nice deed" or "pity date" or "photo op", it reeks of fakeness but this kid doesn't know any better. Shit too serious.

Do people normally film when they ask some one out to prom?

Do you think his other hand is wrapped around one of her butt cheeks?

I really hope so. Bunch of cynics in this thread imo. We're selfish creatures and almost nothing we ever do is truly selfless, but doing something nice for someone else is still doing something nice.

Yes, I would let a female version of that guy take me to prom and squeeze my butt cheek if we were the same age too. Being nice is it's own reward.

Yea but in only one area. Most have the common sense of a rock. Yet are Tesla intelligent is one thing.
If they are high functioning, they have common sense to a degree. They lack empathy and emotional control unless instilled in them. Their emotion is either one end of the spectrum. It's very trying as a parent, teacher or spouse.

Also isn't there like 100 different versions of Autism?

I think some disorders like Asperger are considered to be in the spectrum of autism but are not autism itself. Autism itself is classified by severity.

Asperger is the one were kids look like little geniuses (ie kinda like Sheldon Copper), in severe cases of autims kids will have low IQ , refuse social interation and maybe even have problems in their speech, basicallly unable to support themselves.

I wish I could see acts like this in a good light, but all I see is attention whores who know it will be posted on social media or youtube. Like that dude that worked or volunteered at an animal shelter sat in one the cages of a dog that wasn't coping with the environment well. It sounds nice, but the video says "I know this will go viral" to me.

If she's really trying to do something nice, good for her.

So if someone wants to do something nice and wants to share it in the hope to spread the joy, how should they go about that in your opinion?

Nah, Asperger syndrome is a form of autism. That's what it means to be on the spectrum of autism.

People with Asperger syndrome have a normal or above normal level of intelligence. So they can be geniuses, but most aren't. Their verbal skills are above average though.

Is this how Obama and Michelle got together? Didn't know the first lady was a cheerleader.

Dude will think it is Hershey's syrup, ffs.

Do they even have cheerleaders on the Wookie home planet?:)

I read a similar story a few years back about JLaw. Apparently she was up for some kind of prize in high school; Most Popular, something like that. There was special needs kid in her school, and she insisted the prize be given to him. She still visits the kid every time she goes back to her home town, brings him souvenirs from her movies etc.
