For people that don't know, there are dozens of Chinese tablet manufacturers that sell premium quality tablets for hundreds of dollars less. They usually have dual OS (Android and Windows 10) as well. They have a Surface Pro 4 knock off called the Cube i7 Stylus that's $350 vs Surface Pro 4 $900.

A website I visit called http://techtablets.com/ reviews a bunch of these tablets in detail and makes them seem VERY tempting. Most of them can run CSGO, DOTA2, Skyrim, and other light gaming @ 30 to 60 fps.
Anyone have one of these? What are your thoughts? How is the battery life? Dead pixels? I'm just sketchy buying anything Chinese.

I need a new tablet. Will research this. Thanks.

If your in the market for a cheap windows tablet, check out the chuwi hi8. Legit specs for around $85

Have a Chinese knockoff of iPhone 6S with android OS. Was great at first, and very cheap (~200 USD), but the battery life got significantly shorter about six months after purchase.

I'd be interested in trying a dual boot Windows/Android tablet.

This sounds like a thread for @Madmick

I bought 2 Cube i7 Stylus tablets, one for each child
running school supported apps. (ABC mouse, online homework, etc.)
They've lasted longer than our last home PC did

Did it come with a genuine copy of Windows? Also what website did you use to purchase them?

Are you going to be able to get the tablet fixed if something goes wrong with the tablet under waranty? Will you need to send it back to China?

I don't know about those tablets, but I'm using a xiaomi Mi4i, for the last 6 months.
So far so good, great camera, 3x cheaper than iPhone or Samsung.

Yeah bbut Xiaomi is also one if not the top brand in China.
Known for good stuff.

I bought some generic shit of eBay from China. Was not impressed with any of them.
All (2) tablets seem to eat battery like a fat lady eats cake. Also I find the screen to suck.

So I am kind of off the wagon for now.

Bought it late July/Aug from Aliexpress. (BTW i use Aliexpress more than ebay... love it) I think they updated too the i8 or i9 now, so you might get one cheaper than I did if you still want the i7. Speakers kinds suck though but the kids have earphones for that anyway

I've used aliexpress for a lot of non electric aquarium stuff and have never had any issues besides shipping taking longer than the allotted window.

then replace it with a cheap china battery, it's only like $7
or buy a higher class battery it will last much longer

are they nonremovable like the real iphones?

As somebody who lives in China and has easy access to all the massive technology markets here....I avoid this stuff xaomi being the exception.

I see lots of guys buying phones, tablets and laptops at the markets here becauw they are cheap and they usually just arrived from other countries so they are still in the honeymoon phase with China and the cheap stuff everywhere.

Most everybody ends up ditching the cheap stuff and getting something real for one reason or another.

Sometimes phones can be ok but they are
Much cheaper here than on those websites, when my mom came to visit I bought her a knockoff iPhone for like 30 dollars and put a card in it so she could get in touch with me if I was at work or something.

For people who really like electronics this place can be pretty awesome, there's entire shopping mall type markets full of computer parts, phones, everything...

honestly i have no idea, just complaining.. am usually a hands-off kind of guy when it comes to hardware

Ended up getting the Nvidia Shield K1 tablet for $199.99 at Best Buy. I just have bad luck with dead pixels and terrible customer service returns that the cheap Chinese gamble wasn't worth it.

Hopefully the stylus support on this thing is decent, as I primarily want it as a drawing tablet.

The laptop I run with on a day to day is a special Best Buy only ThinkPad Yoga 14. Excellent specs for the price and built to last. i5 6200U Skylake CPU, 2-1 convertable, 2GB Geforce GTX 940m, 8GB RAM, 256GB SSD HD, Wacom stylus built in all for under a G:

Basically. Who knows how long it will take to get there, and if they'll even understand your issue.
