It's a slippery slope we are all on rn, I'm ecstatic that nothing has boiled over to result in more political violence directly as a result of this.

I chalk it up to a lot of folks simply never encountering the death of a close friend or family member or maybe it's that a death in the past has frayed their nerves and mind so much they have become numb to it in a sense.

Either way, from my perspective, death is something sacred and must never be taken lightly. The irreverent nature of some folks posting here following a disastrous and catastrophic event like this is quite offputting.

I will freely make that assumption based off who he was (a right wing political figure), what he was doing (debate and dialogue with those that he didnt agree with), the reaction by a sizeable contingent of those who didn't like him (fairly obvious at this point they were ok with his murder) and the few facts that we have about the shooter so far (Tyler Robinson will get his day in court)
