The question doesn't clarify about the death being "for their views", it just says to be happy about the death of a figure they oppose. Given the framing, "usually unacceptable" feels a bit better imo.

To get back on topic. I was not tracking to things Charlie said about MLK or Civil Rights. Wow. I thought the Epstein stuff he said & did was pretty bad & reflected on his true character. I think people are confusing the dynamic. Right wingers want it to be definitively and immediately said that he is a pro-tranny antifa supersoldier DSA assassin. That was being said before they even had an arrest. I haven't refuted that as a possibility, ever. But I left the door open for other explanations as there is all this internet coded language and meme stuff across video games, Gen Z and groyper stuff that I don't get and a lot of people my age - millenials, gen X, etc, don't get. This happened with the Minnesota Trans shooter at a Christian school a few weeks back. I learned from that experience that the internet is a weird, batshit, conflicting space when it comes to these outlier hyperonline, ironic, sarcastic, troll, ultraviolent types.
