Charles Oliveira brought in an Iranian wrestling coach. Islam brought no special bij coach in

I believe your point should be that if Oliveira brought in Iranian coach then Islam should be bringing in a Portuguese coach?

What happened with Charles Oliveira wants the fight on the ground?
What happened with Charles being comfortable on the ground?
He is completely focused on take down defence.

Oliveira is shook.

Yes because preparing for a guy that wrestles is a bad idea. Imagine actually preparing yourself to go 5 hard rounds in wrestling against a guy who has shown that's where he wants to be.
Instead lets prepare for a completely unique individual like Charles by fighting against a bunch of clone wrestlers who are also good in the area you excel, but you are apparently a bit better than.
Sounds to me like Charles is approaching this pretty intelligently and might have closed one of the biggest weaknesses he had which is being taken down.

Olivera trying to work and getting better equals being shook?

Let’s be real. Oliveira wants to go for the quick kill. He wants to take him out quick with a punch.
That’s why he is training heavily take down defence. He knows he is in trouble if it gets to the ground.

It's bizarre... people are also dumber after reading this post of yours, too.

If bjj were easy it would be called sambo

What does Charles have? Standing like a punching bag and dive to the ground when it hurts a little bit?
That’s how he controls the pace.
That’s why he is training with a wrestling coach to try to prevent that Islam will dictate the pace on the ground.<RomeroSalute>
Can't tell if stupid or just a troll? Gonna go ahead and say you're a stupid troll.

HIs coach is a guy who was going to be representing Brazil in the Olympics over his home country. I can't remember the specifics but he ended up doing MMA instead. He isn't someone new to the team. He has been there as a training partner for a few years. He was part of the team as early as Kevin Lee. They didn't bring him in specifically for Islam.

False equivalence. Pure BJJ does not translate to success in MMA. And there have been plenty of high level BJJ guys who've crossed over to MMA and lost to lesser grapplers such as Rodolfo Viera.

ADCC and other accomplishments are meaningless in MMA because the dynamics completely change once you mix in striking. Like the old adage goes, punch a BJJ black belt in the face once they become a brown belt, punch them again and they drop to a purple, then blue, and so on. Not to mention, many BJJ guys have bad takedowns or are too comfortable on the bottom which is a losing strategy in MMA.
That's assuming you take a pure BJJ competitor and just drop them in the UFC octagon, which obviously wouldn't go well for them. I guess I'm talking more a hypothetical high level BJJ fighter who transitioned to MMA with the correct prep, I think I gave the example of Burns already. Khabib/Islam have never fought someone like that, and I guess Charles will be the first. Khabib is the absolute best Sambo has to offer, but the best BJJ guy he's fought is probably RDA, who is not even the best BJJ guy in the UFC.

I know they are a weightclass apart, so again this is hypothetical, but If Khabib handled Maia at 170 for example, or had his way with Burns, then you could say for certain 'Sambo' grappling > BJJ, but a matchup like that hasn't happened yet, so for me there is no evidence that they can handle it.

Saying BJJ guys are not as effective, or don't have good enough takedowns etc is a different argument, and I agree with that, but I'm talking specifically about the best Sambo vs the best BJJ guy against each other. We haven't seen that yet.

Either you are a troll who want views/attention or a complete imbecile.
Shame people like you still exist, despite natural evolution course

Not meaning to mock TS, but anyone can post on Sherdog, even 11-year-old kids, which is quite apparent with threads like this.

Is Islam not training for the match???
