There's literally a thread on Sherdog with all the gifs of the fouls. Anyone who thinks Conor is more proven at LW than Gaethje is crazy. Conor is 1-3 at LW in the UFC with one top 10 win and is 3-4 against LW fighters(he fought Nate and Cerrone at WW but they are LW fighters). Gaethje is 6-3 in the UFC with 4-5 top 10 wins.

Very good point and very true, he is one of the few guys in UFC roster that will attack subs from standing positions, and he is not scared to do it because he knows the worst that will happen is they end up on the ground together

Conor is 1-3 at the weight. Also got destroyed by Dustin, twice. He BARELY won ONE round against Khabib, a round in which Khabib boxed with Conor and was never in trouble/landed his own hard shots.


Conor being an elite wrecking ball is long LONG gone, man. Let it go.

If Charles can put the kind of pressure on gaethje that he put on dustin last night and not get finished in round one, then I think Gaethje will gas quickly.

Gaethje is a poor mans Conor.. him vs Kahbib told the story.. Conor's TD and defensive game was way way better compared to Justin's. .. it's going to be a waste of PPV Justin VS Olivera... Justin as earned the fight though.

A lot of people keep citing Gaethje's tdd as a reason for why they think he's a hard match up for Charles, but I don't know if these people haven't been paying attention or what. Locking up submissions while standing or while scrambling is something Charles excells at:

And all of those guys are better submission grapplers than Gaethje. This isn't some low probablity, hail marry type scenario for Charles -- he does it often.

I think so too, but Gaethje always has the power to change the fight in an instant. I'm looking forward to it
