For me it's completely the opposite. I still like to watch his old shows. They were original and always with a good amount of truth to think about. The new shows I don't even watch. Now he is just like every other comedian.
I agree. Chappelle Show at the time was the funniest shit on TV. Great show.

I don't care all that much for anything he's done since he came back either. It's just slow and full of rants now.

The whole show was amazing and I'm glad he cut it off when he did before it jumped the shark.
Dave was "influenced" by Oh pra and threats forced the end of his relevant funny AF comedy.

Season 2 was much better than season one. True Hollywood stories and the wayne brady sketch being the high points.

I do not listen to English music at all and especially English speaking comedians especially if they are from usa
You do know that the Italian movie industry was a Hollywood copycat for a long time. I do not see that as a bad thing by the way.

i think he's a generally funny guy. i mean you can't be funny all the time. not every joke is going to hit, and not every story is going to be funny. i think what sets him apart is his storytelling style and his articulations/pronunciations. he's a smooth public speaker.

I'm a guy with a big sense of humor so tell me why I've barely ever laughed at a comedy act. I don't know what it is but I just don't find them funny.

I laugh pretty hard when I listen to Alex Jones or sometimes I'll die laughing at Russel Brand during one of his youtube videos. I just don't find stand up funny which is weird

Everything after the first statement of that post proves that statement to be a complete bold faced lie.

This was especially great if you were around during that time and had grown up seeing Wayne Brady on Whose Line is it Amyway. Because he just always exuded that kind of nerdy, good boy energy. So seeing him in a bit like this was just perfect at that time.

Yeah, looking back on it, the show was full of references to pop culture of the time period so if you weren't at least a teenager at the time, you're not gonna find it as funny. Just off the top of my head:

-The Lil Jon stuff. He was massive in the early 2000s so making fun of his "yeah" and "what" was hilarious

-Black Bush. You had to know the Dubya/Iraq War situation of the time

-The Prince and Rick James skits. They were 80s stars so if you weren't even born back then, you won't understand why their impressions were funny

-Mad Real World. Will make zero sense unless you watched MTV at the time

Some of the sketches don't hold up because they relied on shock value.

But he still had some of the best / funniest sketches of all time and those still hold up.

This is Chappelle Show material. Slightly heartbreaking and unintentionally hilarious.

Gail's mom looked to be maybe 1/4th African-American. So Gail is 1/8th.
