Change one result in the UFC

Also as a huge Cro Cop fan, him not losing to Nogueira, Randleman, or Fedor would've been awesome in PRIDE, and obviously I wish the head kick KO would've been the other way around against Gonzaga in the UFC.

Lastly, for how much I loved the loser and hated the winner, I so wish Sean Sherk didn't let the fans' complaints about his "boring" wrestling attack get in his head and instead would've just gone full wrestling ahead at BJ in their fight. Instead of standing in front of the superior striker, he should've stuck to BJ the way GSP did in their rematch, shut down his striking by closing the distance and burn away his energy by making him ward off his TDs and clinch work. I would've loved to have seen The Muscle Shark devour The Prodigy instead of just play human punching bag.

I didn't remember what the back story was with Severn Vs Ken I just remember it being one of those most boring fights of all time.

I was listening to an interview with Sherk recently on the MMA history podcast, he said by the time of the BJ fight onwards his shoulders and hips were shot and he basically had about four good takedown attempts in him and after that he was basically forced to box.

He had long breaks in between fights after that trying to heal up his body but those injuries forced his retirement. I remember being frustrated at the time thinking why is a guy with trex arms insisting on striking?!

BJ gets the nod in the first fight with Frankie and then retires as champ immediately and doesn’t go crazy.
 
Mikhail Ilyukhin takes part in UFC1 and runs through everyone including Royce, marking Sambo as the best base for MMA since the beginning and forevermore.

Sambo gyms pop up worldwide instead of BJJ gyms and it becomes the most popular martial art of our time.

The Gracies fade into obscurity and only remain relevant in the niche sport of pure ground grappling... oh wait, that actually did happen! 😅
 
Conor fights Sitenkov or Duffy in the UFC (instead of before), loses (as he did) and gets insta-cut. Drinks himself out of the sport.

At UFC 158 when he fought Condit in a title eliminator, same card GSP fought Hendricks. There literally was no one for GSP to fight when he decided he was gonna give Nick the beating he missed out on due to GSP's ACL injury.

Not really. Hendricks vs Kampmann was supposed to be a title eliminator. He already had a 5 fight win streak, beating Fitch, Koscheck and then Kampmann back to back.

Even if you look at the media recaps from UFC 154 everyone was expecting Bigg Rigg to fight for the title next.
 
Herb Dean doesn't fix over 100 fights so the sport has integrity. Or MMA media isn't 10 sycophantic social rejects sucking Dana off so the sport has integrity. Or the USADA regime isn't instituted to virtue signal while covering for stars to cheat so the sport has integrity. Or belts aren't treated as bullshit marketing ploys to promote lower-ranked fighters into position of prominence so the sport has integrity. Or judges don't cater to organizational favorites so the sport has integrity.

Basically if we didn't exist under a one-org corrupt monopoly so the sport was real instead of rigged WWE horsehshit. Or if the fanbase stopped eating the slop they are fed so corruption wouldn't be normalized.

Tony Ferguson knocks out Gaethje with that end of first round uppercut in their fight.

He loses to Khabib next and they bury the hatchet but we don't see him spiralling downwards like we did.
 
Penn beats Edgar in the first fight. Continues on his LW dominance... Or at least that's what my heart wants to believe.

Not really, like in not at all. But at least he would have lost to Khabib not to someone that will lose to Khabib, and we would have had that damn fight.

No but its cute you are sticking to your memories despite the facts. You said Hendricks was #1 contender and he wasn't. Now its Kampmann was supposed to be a #1 contender fight. Not remotely true so admit you were wrong and made a mistake.

Kampmann was 10 fights in as a WW before the Johnny fight. 7-3 record. Losses to Daley, Shields and Sanchez. Was 3-2 in his last 5 before Johnny. In no universe was Kampmann in a #1 contender fight.

Johnny got his title shot. He earned it on the same card GSP vs Diaz happened, not before.

Cejudo never gets married or even discovers women. He uses his testosterone to keep fighting instead of retiring and coming back as a shell of himself.
