Sherdog battle of the interwebz Karate

I have never said that wasn't the case. Again nobody is arguing against that, especially not me. You have said that technical skill isn't needed at all. Going as far as claiming simply taking 5 mins to 1 hour to learn to throw a punch or be shown the sport is all that is needed.

I even made sure to clarify the above was your position multiple times.

It doesn't matter how big, fast or strong you are if you can't do the sport.
Considering I never said technique doesn’t matter I don’t know what you are talking about I said that athleticism matters more.

ok so you don´t wanna fight ? You are making a joke out of it. I mean it´s his call out to you. I am merely part of the audience.

Let's be honest man. It's not going to happen, why would it? The initial call out was for me to organise a fight on Karate Combat in 2026, then it was any place or time with a willingness to travel. Then that changed to me going on an all expenses trip to fight in his backyard.

I am not going to pay to fly to the US and he isn't going to pay to fly me over there over a disagreement on Sherdog. It's nearly $3000 USD, I would lose money from simply not working.

I could send him my flights and suddenly it will be I pay them first and he will reimburse me.Then if I somehow turned up over there, he wouldn't pay me. Then if I do, what happens. Do I turn up at his house, we punch on in his backyard and then what? Do I take some of his personal items to sell at the local pawn shop to reimburse the cost?

The guy won't even turn up to a local powerlifting meet. He isn't going to fly me half way around the world to fight in his backyard because I called him out. He said he bought training gear and wanted to run a full camp for an internet fight. Shall I ask him to post the receipts?

We keep rehashing this. You specifically did say that multiple times. I have quoted you multiple times saying that.
Are you now changing your position after I gave you multiple chances in the other thread?

For example. Conor mcregor is not beating Eddie hall in mma unless Eddie injured himself.

Probably not. Eddie Hall isn't beating Tom Aspinall from his own admission unless he gets to bring his tank along...

What a stupid argument.
Barrier to entry of athleticism. That is the part you are missing. If you meet the minimum barrier to entry then injuries go down as your athleticism improves. This isn’t rocket science.

More like 1500 $, unless you include total cost with hotel.

Omg can you guys stop arguing. 🙉. Talk about fighting each other. Or make up some new topic.

What relevance does that have to Eddie Hall beating Mcgregor and Aspinall subsequently beating him?

If Aspinall who can press 57.5 kg for a set of 5

And can beat Hall who has had the record at 110kg. What are we better off putting our focus into?

Nobody is saying Strength training doesn't help injuries, particularly speed of recovery, at all.
It's why I added it in for the other thread, but @Trabaho specifically said he just wanted to be told what to do and not think.

Haha it's our thread. You have your own man. It's a challenge thread.
It's the most on topic thread in ages.

I never said only strength anyways but rather general athletic qualities like alactic power/capacity, lactic capacity and aerobic capacity. You simply cannot optimally train that by only focusing on sport specific training. Most people are not Bo Jackson or Herschel walker who are two of the most genetic specimens in the world. Almost all other people have to become better athletes generally to even be competitive in a given sport.

Mate we have been over this specific thing you keep saying multiple times. Go back reread the other thread.

At no point do I ever say that technique training is all you need or that you should just do sport specific training. I address that multiple times whilst trying to clarify your 5 min punch comment.

I just pointed out your examples were crap because you picked some of the best technical athletes in the sport, who barely do Strength and conditioning work outside their sport and are famous for that during the best periods of their career.

100% as I said in the other thread, becoming better at those things will help your sport, provided it doesn't impact your skill training.

I don’t know anything about armored fighting. Just pick 3 sports? Karate combat, knight fighting and arm wrestling?

There I was trying to at least make it fun and put on a show in this hypothetical fight.

Just do MMA without a time limit or gloves. I would rather not lose a testicle or eye because I called someone out on claiming they could beat pro fighters or walked into a gym and knew within a few lessons they couldn't learn a thing there.

Oh I didn't know that part of the lore.
