I found his striking looks pretty strange, but nice.HE doesn't throw unconventional stuff, but it looks different.Anyone can explain his striking style to me?Discuss

Lord Chael would give Anthony Joshua problems.

typical to that of a below average striker who is a legitimate wrestler?

It's all to set up that double leg and work the grappling from there

its called, "dont overextend and stay in your own wheelhouse kwan do"

Chael is textbook. Hands up chin down are his words to live by.

He has some some strengths that he has been working on (while evolving his orthodox but awkward looking style) but his weakness is the same as Tito’s, if you have him against the fence and start throwing a flurry of punches in combination (like chuck did to Tito) he seems to get flustered easily and panics. When he panics he leaves openings and makes mistakes.

He supposedly has some experience in amateur boxing. His striking was it his best in his first fight w/Anderson (decent boxing that complimented and aided his pressure/wrestling game). It was at his worst in the second Anderson fight when he tried spinning stuff. He should leave the spinning to Jon Jones and Cung Le.

Chael tends to walk his opponents down pretty aggressively and he eats a lot of shots by doing so. His striking doesn't have lots of feints or setup. He kind of just wants to move his target towards the cage as quickly as possible and prevent them from getting comfortable and eventually take them down. It ain't pretty, but it works.

His striking style is to overload the opponents choice reactions then one of HIS choices being to go for a takedown....liken to a game of Russian Roulette

I notice it's mostly based around pressure with a means to get in. Everything he does is to support his game, which is wrestling.

His best striking clinic I can remember was him vs Nate the great. He just beat him on the feet by pressure alone

He keeps his chin down, his hands up, has decent head movement, and presses forward with basic combinations to open up opportunities for takedowns, which he is obviously very effective at. He doesn't really look to hurt guys standing, just to open them up to his takedowns. That said, he surprised me a couple times against Rampage with a couple kicks and some hard overhands that actually looked like he tried to put some heat on. I hope he continues to improve his striking but never loses sight of the game plan that works for him, which is to wrestle.
