B. Look for flaws in a CLEARLY flawed algorithm where the greatest HW of all time is ranked below a HW with a single HW win over a LHW.

But the funny thing is it is entirely possible there is nothing flawed regarding this specific topic in a sense that Sonnen might actually be a clear favorite over current Fedor in physical reality. Fedor had a huge problems with Fabio Nambobado, while Sonnen would probably beat Bambonambo easily.

Not sure of serious. Bigfoot, Werdum, Arona. Hunt was outwrestling him easily but didn't know what to do from the top, Hendo KOd him after the grappling scramble and was easily holding him against the cage.

Grappling doesn't even matter that much though. Current Chael is better both standing and on the ground.

Sonnen has nothing on Fedor. He won't knock him out and if he gets it to the ground I see it the other way with Fedor subbing Sonnen or Chael tapping if he's getting pummeled from the bottom. In this universe there's no comparison. Sonnen has a a lot better chance now I'll admit that. Both at their prime it would be a joke Pride fight.

It is funny, rankings do suck, but Fedor beats both Mir and Sonnen easily even in his 40ties. Fed messed up running into a Brawldonado counter, and didn't recover for the rest of the fight. These 2 at present don't have a hard counter game.
