Media Chael criticizes any complaining MW top fighter

Just a reminder chael admitted on the flagrant podcast that he gets calls from Dana white if he puts out a video going against the narrative the ufc wants pushed

Khamzat couldn't make 170 with a full training camp but you expect top 10 middleweights to make 185 on 10 days notice?

Isn't the point of what Chael said that all top MWs knew beating Khamzat would earn them a title shot? And that it was well known for a long time, hence he isn't talking specifically about them saying NO with 10 days notice.

If they want a title? Yes! They could have jumped the line: high risk high reward. But I don’t blame em, I can see their reasons to turn it down, but this was gonna fast track em to a title, instead of the long process to earn and selling it.

I guess they and their coaches felt 10 days isn’t enough to prepare especially for a guy like khamzat.

Forgot preparing. It's literally impossible for most of them. Again, you're asking them to do something that Khamzat himself couldn't do with a full training camp.

The plan was always for Khamzat to fight Paulo Costa. And no, there's no evidence beating an unranked fighter would have earned someone a title shot. It was only announced recently to have title implications. If the original fight had held up and Costa had won he wouldn't be getting a title shot.

Maybe use Costa as an example of weight cuts. Khamzat always made weight aside from the one time the ufc told him not to so he can fight Holland

As usual Sonnen is talking out his ass, there was no reason for MWs to think that beating unranked at MW Khamzat would get them a title shot. Costa wouldn't have gotten one if he beat Khamzat.

Everyone should know by now, Chael is Dana's YouTube confirm channel, and a way of telling fighters "this is how you make moves in the UFC".

Chael made a lot of money taking fights out of his weight class & out of his league, win or lose, Chael accepted.

It straight up wouldn't. Chael is acting like the rewards would be symmetrical, but this was CLEARLY a case of "Khamzat gets a title with a win.. If you win...idk you'll fight.. Hermansson? Cannonier at best?"

What about Dolidze asking to fight here and was rejected what should he have done chael?

What about Whittaker asking to fight Khamzat before and them refusing.
What about Rockhold signing contracts to fight Khamzat only to have it not signed by his opponent.

Yes it was "open" for anyone GTFO.
